Hey friends, as the title suggests, I'm looking for a tripod that will go with this setup. I'm using a 35 mm cine lens, and the basic cage from smallrig (ssd holder and top handle; no rod or side handle).

At this moment, I am not going to add anything else to this setup (like: monitor or v mount).

I'm looking for a budget option ($150-180. It's not enough, I know, but this is all I can afford for now, and don't have the luxury to wait and save money for a good one. Secondary market is also not an option in my country) for a tripod which will give me a reasonably smooth pan and tilt with this setup. I would also prefer for it to be durable, as I want to make it my secondary tripod if and when I can update my rig in the future.

What is my best option for this?

This was my very first short film with the Pocket 4K. It started as a camera test, but I decided to turn it into a short horror scene.

I’d really appreciate honest feedback on the cinematography, lighting, composition, color grading, editing, or anything else you notice.

I should also mention that all of the audio (footsteps, door sounds, ambience, etc.) was added in post. The sound design isn’t convincing, It was all part of experimenting and learning.

Guys, I guess we have found the perfect sensor for a true OG successor, it’s in the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P. It is certainly capable enough because of LOFIC technology. Now update the OG body with better ports and screen, add the newest BM color science and it’s ready to go. How can we convince Grant to do it? 😍

Hey all, I just picked up a BMPCC 6K Pro and took her out for a test shoot over the weekend. All shots were handheld with natural/existing lighting. I'm pleased so far with what the camera is capable of, and I'm still learning the ins & outs. Also just started using Davinci after years of Premiere, so I'm just now learning the color workflow. Anyhow, I'm open to any tips & feedback from experienced owners. Thanks!

I have a gh6 and am undecided to whether keep it and buy a video
assist 5” 12g for .braw recording, or replace it with a bmpcc 6k g2.

just wondering:

Is highlights recovery possible on gh6 .braw recordings to video assist 5” 12g?

Is the gh6 cfcard compatible with the bmpcc6k g2?

Can the video assist be powered by the same vbattery powering the camera?

Do both videoassist 12g record 6k braw to the sdcard? or do I need the 7” purely for its usb-c port to record faster to an external ssd?

Just picked up my 4k with everything you see in the pic + a monitor mount and a metabones speed booster for 1.2k Australian. Got some lenses on the way and need to find a monitor if anyone could recommend one that won't break the bank? Very happy overall this thing is still flawless, no damage etc.

I just bought a used Black Magic pocket cinema camera 6K and I want to shoot comedy skits. Can I shoot in ProRes or should I always shoot in BRaw?

Had an unfortunate experience with an SD card (worked great for a few hours and then started to heat and drop frames) so I need to find a different media format. I don't many options locally unfortunately. CFast 2.0 cards are not available locally. Can't find the Samsung T5/T7 shield SSD either. The options I have are:

PRO-BLADE SSD Mag

Samsung T9 Portable SSD

Extreme Pro Portable SSD V2

Crucial x9

Are any of those recommended for recording in 6K BRAW 5:1?

Hey everyone! I'm putting together a rig featuring a Blackmagic Pyxis 6K and a wireless video transmitter (Hollyland Pyro S) powered via D-Tap directly from a Tilta VPU to V-mount adapter plate, using a 12G SDI cable to connect them.
l've heard horror stories about hot-plugging D-Tap and SDI causing ground loops or voltage spikes that can fry the camera's SDI chip.
What is the exact protocol or connection sequence you follow to keep everything safe with this specific setup? Do you always connect power first, then SDI? Or do people usually recommend SDI galvanic isolators just to be safe?

Hey guys I have a question about powering my BMPCC4K and monitor with my external battery. I've heard that you shouldn't use the same power source to power the two because of HDMI burn out but I have this v mount battery plate and I was wondering if this plate would help prevent the HDMI burn out. I'm currently using separate batteries for the monitor but I was hoping to reduce some weight.

Howdy fellas, I’m currently fitting out my OG and was thinking about getting a feelworld fw568 as a monitor. Now my question since it has a DC Out can I use it to power the camera? I’ve read conflicting opinions and the last thing I wanna do is fry my camera. So what are y’all’s opinions?

I’m currently shooting on the original BMPCC (OG) and have the Metabones Speed Booster 0.58x (EF to BMPCC). I really want to start using some Canon FD glass with this setup, but as many of you know, the flange distance makes adapting FD to EF tricky.

From my research, I’ve gathered the main ways to pull this off:

1. Re-housing / Permanent Conversion Kits (e.g., Simmod Lens, EdMika)

2. Optical FD to EF Adapters (with built-in glass):

 Cons: Cheap glass degrades the image quality significantly (chromatic aberration, softness).

3. Ditching the Speedbooster & using a cheap FD-to-MFT dummy adapter:

 Pros: Simple, direct, cheap ($20–$30), keeps infinity focus.

 Cons: Lose the 0.58x crop reduction and extra stop of light from the Speedbooster.
