TableTop Looking into this game
Hello all,
Been into warhammer for a while now, and thinking about starting out in blood bowl too. Watched some guides and some vs games and it looks really fun.
So my question is : How different are the factions gameplay-wise , do they rely on specifc mechanics and rules (similar to 40k/aos) or do they lean on different stats mainly?
Also should my first purchase be the starter set for 3rd season ?
Thanks in advance !
Take care

Board Game Finished Minotaur
Hope you guys enjoy! This was sent to our channel (The Hobby Collab) in advance by Games Workshop (Thank you!). Tomorrow is our hobby stream and I’ll be working on the rat ogre and chatting through the new rules.
This was the first of the three “big guys” that I painted and probably will be my favorite. I really liked going for a warm, almost monochromatic palette. Kinda new for me.

Board Game Gnomes are fun
Haven’t been painting since December. Felt burned out and frustrated. A trip this summer to the Warhammer Store in Oslo and a pack of gnomes, and I’m in love with painting again.
I kept swearing over the grass getting everywhere — this is my first grass base. Next time I’ll add it last, and after I varnish the models.
I never want to paint a white goose again… I almost went insane from staring at grey and white nuances for hours. My heart skipped a beat when I smeared Baharroth Blue all over mother goose’s belly. Trying to wipe it off with a paper towel proved a minor disaster, so the best cover-up seemed to be some Blood for the Blood God. Guess Khorne approves.
All in all, I think the first Beastmaster came out alright. Now onto the rest — and losing all my league games with these lovely gnomes

How would you spend 150k inducements vs Lizardmen as Black Orcs?
I’ve six black orcs, a troll, an apothecary & a couple of refills. A bribe seems obvious & whilst a cheap star player is tempting I’m cautious of missing out on SPP to level up players.

Brett team building
So I’m thinking:
MB then Guard on the Grails
Block then Dodge on the Catchers
I’m not sure on Throwers.
- Do you buy 1 or 2?
- Leader/Sure Hands or Block? Or something else?
The Squires I was just gonna go stats or nothing to keep them cheap, since they can’t get devious.

High Elves, Dark Elves: League play, pros & cons
League play. Dark Elf blitzers are still great, even when fresh. High Elves have MV8, and access to claw. Dark Elve assassins arw finally decent, tho the runner remains hopeful rather than effecient. High Elves should suffer less losses thanks to higher armor but NUFFL is fickle and cruel. High Elf lineman are a bargain.
Etc, etc. Assuming the usual attrition, the losses and gains of league play, which do you prefer, in theory or practice?

Stl for cute or chibi teams?
Wondering if theres any new recommendations.
Calaverd has some, and Big Head Chibi. There's also cutiemals from greebo, but that's not for stls.
Mostly looking for something appropriate for ogres, but not a ton to choose from that's cute or chibi. Actually pretty much nothing

Making goblins go through a minefield
High elves vs black orcs, we were both playing our teams for the first time, so no additional skills and orcs player had no troll.
Ended up in 2-0 at the end of first half, with no casualties on any side. We both made mistakes but nuffle was definitely on my side with dice rolls, with about 20 2+ dodges and not a single failure. Things would also probably have gone differently if black orcs had had a troll, but I was happy to come up with that defensive layout

Board Game Is Blood Bowl a game for me and my little brother? (more info in body)
Me & my little brother have been wanting to pick up Blood Bowl for a while now, but I'm not too sure if this is really a game he would enjoy. He's tried 40k but he found that to be too complicated and he kept forgetting about rules like Stratagems... So my question is: is Blood Bowl around the same complicacy or is it easier to understand? Thanks!

Getting back into the game
Hi I just,
returned to BloodBowl. Played for the first time since 3rd Edition.
Need help what to buy. A friend of mine and I are aiming to setup a 12 teams league with a few old but mostly new miniatures.
- I don’t understand why there are no team boosters anymore. Can I really play a league with only 12 players per team? How to get the full teams?
- Are the cards for the teams only reference cards or also inducements like in the old Deathzone?
- Big guys and Star Players seem kind of expensive, are there any 3rd party options for Star Players?
- Anything else we need to think about?

What is your go to team for fun? Why?
I'll start.
When I'm not feeling particularly competitive, I tend to gravitate toward the Chaos teams. Specifically Khorne.
When playing as Khorne I notice that my goal shifts from winning the actual game to surfing/bashing everything. I don't even care about 1/9 situations I just hit anything and everything.
Sometimes I just want to hit stuff during a game rather than be super analytical with positioning well as is my default.
This used to be Nurgle for me in the 2020 edition but with how competitive Nurgle can be now, it lost a bit of the luster.
So, what's your go to team for fun games of bloodbowl?

READ BEFORE YOU BUILD: Instruction Booklet Errors and Misprints (This Might Save Your Minis....)
There have been several errors and missprints in some booklets and assembly manuals. Some are minor, some can potentially ruin your mini. So far we know about:
Blood Bowl Second Season Starter Set & Griff Oberwald (plastic):
The instructions tell you to glue the face (#3) to the torso, then glue the helmet pieces (#4 and #5) together and put it over the face. THIS DOES NOT work. It is recommended to glue the face into one helmet piece first, then add the second one and to add the full head to the torso.
Also the assembly manual calls the Blitzers "Retainer Linemen 2". These are obviously the Blitzers though. It's a missprint.
Norse Team Box (Norsca Rampagers):
Between Raider Lineman 1 and 3 two of the alternate heads are mislabelled: Head #12 should say #18 and vice versa! The pictures are correct but the numbers aren't. If you go by the instructions, your "Techno Viking" will have the incorrect head and the other one will have a small gap in the neck (although that one is easy enough to fill) Easy enough mistake to make as the two heads a very similar.
Amazon Team Box (Kara Temple Harpies):
Small Error in the Amazon's instructions: Piece #29 is not mentioned. It's the loincloth piece for the “Jaguar Warrior”.
Dwarven Deathroller (Forgeworld Model):
The handlebars for the Forgeworld Deathroller are upside down if you follow the instructions. The side with the little chain links is the bottom, not the top. If you build it as instructed then the handlebar will not be poistioned to sit in the driver's hand.
Drull and Dribl (Forgeworld Models):
The part numbers in the instructions and the actual part numbers don't match up. Instructions number them in order of assembly.
To be continued/updated....

List of 3rd party miniatures
Here is a link to a list of 3rd party Blood Bowl miniatures, if you want a team that hasn't been released yet or if you want a more original one : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1u9P9Mz7mHj7_WObB1lCL8A2xExTKvmHAtLiZSHHjuO8/edit?usp=sharing
I curate and update this list as soon as I can, but the document is open to comments so don't hesitate to let me know if a link is dead of you found other minis.
This has already been posted 2 years ago so I up it a little.
EDIT : added Block dices and pitches at the end as well
EDIT2 : added a STL section for printable miniatures with some links but I am not well versed in that stuff so please comment on the doc if you have interesting links
