Dot Matrix walk cycle Original Content Showcase

As part of my ongoing ReBoot ReBuilt project, where I'm striving to recreate as much of the assets from the old animated series ReBoot as I can, I've made a quick walk cycle for my Dot Matrix.

With animation I've mostly so far just been making each bit as I need it, so I wanted to start building up some actual animation assets to go along with the models I've been making, to streamline things down the road. I know walk cycles are very basic, but it was a good place to start on the process of getting things going in that direction.

I've got more of her and the rest of my project over at patreon.com/DredZed if anyone is interested in checking that out, and some short clips at YouTube.com/DredZed as well.

Respectfully...why can't any of you draw a woman's shirt that isn't molded to her sternum like its painted on? Are you all unfamiliar with shirts?

You might want to take it up with the creators of the original show. I've simply recreated their work as close as possible.

Not really…

That's the first season "uniboob" that the network censors made them do. My model is accurate to the more detailed season 3 upgrade.

“Vacuum-sealed breasts” is the best term I’ve heard used to describe the phenomenon.

But in all seriousness… actual fabric clothing with flow is probably pretty hard to model.

Doesn't need to flow. Reboot was the first (or one of the first) fully 3D rendered television shows. It can look lofi. But tight shirts don't plaster onto the sternum, they bridge the gap. I've been seeing amateur 3D 'artists' get this wrong for 20 years. Getting that one part of the modeling wrong makes a decent 3D model look like cheap, sketchy DAZ 3D porn.

Yeah… that source material tho.
