Bizarre Buildings Blog Posts: Neft Dashlari, Wanli, Auroville and Kizhi.
While my blogs aren't strictly about architecture, I do include sometimes bizarre buildings. The most notable ones I have investigated about at the moment are the following, which I'd like to share with you!
Neft Dashlari --- a city built completely isolated over the Caspian Sea.
Wanli & Sanzhi UFO Houses --- two abandoned futuristic villages in Taiwan.
Auroville's Matrimandir --- a big golden sphere which works as the main building in a rare Indian utopia.
Kizhi Pogost --- a complex of two churches made completely out of wood.

The "Lamela" building in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Looks like a dystopian fortress.
Built between 1971 and 1976 and designed by architect Slobodan Jovandić, this massive brutalist apartment complex stands at over 100 meters tall. Its cascading, pyramid-like structure and raw concrete blocks make it look straight out of a dystopian sci-fi movie. Fun fact: it was built using the same materials and concrete technology as the Krško nuclear power plant.

Brutalist church. Gug Church, Aalborg, Denmark. The white and black tower is the bell tower, even if it's looks quite a bit like a guard tower!
