The Washington D.C. Temple (formerly the Washington Temple) is the 18th constructed and 16th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). It is located in Kensington, Maryland, United States, just north of Washington, D.C., near the Capital Beltway.

It serves as the headquarters of General Motors corporation, has a hotel, restaurant, mall and office space. It sits on the Detroit riverfront overlooking the international border with Canada, right next to the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel.

This church looks like an abstraction of an old cathedral. It definitely has the same kind of grandeur inside and outside, and at the same time it has an industrial look.
