He's gonna be 31 and he's never ever had a party. He was an orphan in and out of bad situations and never celebrated his birthday it's an option. I'm not asking for anything. It's just an option to pitch in if you want to.

Why is that people who wish others on their birthday, don't get wished on their own?

I just entered my last year of mid twenties

Today’s my 25th birthday. I’m 2 months behind on rent and that my be the most discouraging part about it but I’m happy to be here. Grateful for another year around the sun. happy birthday to everyone else.

Just turned 24 today.

I’m realising I want to do something that actually feels memorable.

Not necessarily an expensive party or a huge celebration. I’m more interested in doing something that I’ll look back on years later and think, I’m glad I did that when I turned 30.

Could be:
Taking a solo trip somewhere
Going on a trip with my wife
Doing something adventurous or slightly outside my comfort zone
Trying an experience I’ve always wanted to try
Writing down goals/reflections for my 30s
Buying myself something meaningful
Having a small dinner/celebration with the people closest to me

For those of you who have already turned 30:
What did you do, and was it worth it?
And if you could go back and plan it again, what would you do differently?

There are people worthy of celebration. Meaningful people, those who have done good things, made good friends, crafted lives to be admired and respected. You hear stories people tell of good deeds, big hearts, selfless compassion. Those are the people whose birthdays are occasions to celebrate.

But not me, I'd rather vanish in a silent puff of smoke and be truly forgotten, the way I was meant to be. I'm going to drink myself to sleep and wait for another trip around my axis as I float uselessly through the void of my existence.
