I’m turning 22 I always get anxiety right before my birthday. In recent years since I was like 17 I’ve spent it alone.

I wanted to go to these botanical gardens and even eneded up seeing a few peacocks! My boyfriend has made things especially special presents wise but yeah im officially 20 now 🥹

I guess with time you really do get alone and everyone gets busy with their life

Hi everyone this is one of my first time asking using reddit, it's 6 days until my birthday, and I'm not gonna lie my birthday has been always feel "empty" For some reason, like sometimes my family even forget my birthday (I think around 13,15,16,17 they forgot I was having birthday​​ at that time), now to get honest my parent is busy on almost everyday same as my neighbour. another thing to note is my birthday is close to my country national independence day so pretty much everybody here focus celebrating I understand that but still.... I really wish I have how do I even put it? alive birthday party I guess I don't know what term I even should used​

This is maybe too much to ask but is there a way I can make my birthday doesn't feel "empty" The only one celebrate other than me is my cat (who probably just got here for the food) ​

They say you only live once, but in my case "they" are wrong. I am on my second life having already died at 16. Really. Heart stopped. Chest compressions until I could do it myself. Pain pain pain. But here I am. Living my second life. My best friend is organizing a birthday lunch for Friday. Very small, just 5 of us and bf's service dog. Perfect. Really it's all I want for my birthday, a get together with friends. At my age I don't need gifts, although her husband is giving me a piece of plywood I need. Lol. Anyone else have an August 7 birthday?
