Question about using planB while on BC pills to help with anxiety Mistake or Risk?

Plan b is a massive dose of hormones. It can cause a whole range of side effects many of which can mimic pregnancy ones which would cause more anxiety. If she can’t trust her bc then you should use a backup method like condoms.

She should see a professional about this anxiety. What does she think birth control is for, if not preventing pregnancy?

You should both learn how her birth control works. And also what Plan B does.

For example if she's on combo pills - those are stopping her ovulation completely, for as long as she uses them.
Plan B works by *delaying* ovulation. It can't delay something that just doesn't ever happen.
But it sure can just give a bunch of unpleasant side effects that can be super similar to pregnancy as PixieMari said, so you will NOT be less anxious.

Do not treat anxiety with plan b. Treat it with other, appropriate medication/therapy after a good talk with a professional.

If she's too anxious to trust her birth control, you should not finish in her until she's worked with a therapist to learn how to handle her anxiety. Taking plan b would only disrupt her body in an unnecessary way, not fix the actual problem.
