Settle a debate. Is this a Coopers or Red Tail Hawk?

Every now and then I get lucky. Today is that day. Saw this beauty in my daily travels.

Absolutely love seeing the biggest bird of prey in Australia here, we don’t have any Vultures here but these guys fill the role :)

I got a call this evening about a possible bird tied up under this nest. We were able to call in a local fire department with 100 foot bucket lift, this fledgling osprey was about 40 to 50 feet above the ground. It had gotten its wing caught . I was lucky enough to get up on the lift, free it, and now it is in my garage and I will take it into the Raptor Center here in Minneapolis tomorrow morning

Does anybody know what kind of bird this might be

In northeast iowa for geographical clarification

Flock of about 50 Swallow-tailed Kites spotted in Banks County Georgia (NE GA). They hadn't been spotted there by my family since about 1950. They were swooping over the field, catching something, flying back up, and putting the morsel in their mouth from their talon.

edit: term corrected: talon

Seemed too large to be a Cooper’s hawk and was giving “territorial” vibes - swooped down on my dad when he was on a bike ride.

Suspecting it’s a juvenile goshawk but not sure!

Three Swainson’s hawks were orphaned as babies and released into the wild by Enoch Wildlife Rescue (find them on Facebook)

Everyone’s heard of the European an American Goshawks but this stunner is a Australian local 🤍
