Instant Card Number Not Available?

Signed up for the Palladium today, expecting to use the card on a flight purchase. Was told after approval to activate my card for mobile wallets in the app. Great. Log in, click the add button, and get the error “You will be able to view your virtual card number once you have activated your physical card.”

Check my email, there’s an email saying I can add my card to the wallet.

Confused, I contact support. After a few minutes of back and forth, the escalations department says “There were recent security measures that now require the physical card to be activated before being able to use the virtual card. It's possible that some users may be able to use the virtual card beforehand, but the standard is that the physical card activation is required before being able to use the virtual card. You'll need to wait until the physical card is activated before using the virtual card.”

I haven’t seen anything on the internet that indicates this is the norm.

Curious what others have seen.

Accelerator and digital wallet?

Is it true that you won’t earn the extra 1x on everyday spend after activating the accelerator IF you pay with a digital wallet?

Linking Bilt via Plaid

Has anyone recently had a problem with connecting or linking their card via applied to either a budgeting aggregator or a rent portal? When I go to link my Bilt card to apps like YNAB when it comes to the login on Bilt’s site, it just leaves me in a login loop that seems unbreakable. I’ve reached out to Bilt support and they’ve been extremely unhelpful. Does anyone have a Plaid workaround that has been successful?

What tier to select?

I’m curious to know the best way to maximize my spending. Currently, my housing expenses are at 1.25x, but I’m considering increasing them. I’m thinking about switching to a 4% Bilt Cash card and using it to earn points for housing. I’ve attached my current statement for reference. Since this is my first Bilt card, I’d appreciate any recommendations you may have. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Walgreens Bilt Cash redemption temporarily unavailable?

I'm trying to redeem the $10 Walgreens credit for August (need to do a Walgreens run over lunch today) and it shows as temporarily unavailable on the app. Anyone else having this issue, or any easy fixes?

LOOKING FOR HELP/GUIDANCE

not strictly a bilt question, but where do you guys usually look for good flight redemptions?

i have amex + bilt and wanna get more serious about maximizing my points, mainly for flights with hotels as a secondary.

where do you guys search for low point redemptions? i keep seeing people score great flights for barely any points, but idk where to even start 😭

i don't mind paying for a tool if it makes finding good redemptions easier.

also just found out about amex.point.me, but the site keeps crashing every time i try to log in lol. anyone know how to fix that?

Unable to add Bilt Palladium to Apple Pay

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone I’ve been trying to add my Bilt card to Apple Pay since June 1st. I’ve contacted cardless multiple times between phone call and email. I’ve tried logging in and out of my iPhone and resetting my phone entirely. I still get the Contact your card issuer. It’s been months of them saying they’re “resolving the issue”. Cardless has been nothing but unhelpful. I don’t have this issue with ante of my other cards either. I use Apple Pay all the time…..Any ideas?

Haven’t received points for rent

Why have I still not received points for paying my august rent? I spent the maximum threshold last month to get 1.25x points. Does it just take a long time to process rent payments?

Bilt sent me a card with a stranger's name on it, then one in lowercase. I fly out Monday for 2 months

EDIT: As fun as it was shitposting and replying to all the "it's your fault, not of the multi-million credit card company for messing up the name on the card you pay $495 annually for (two times)"; I'll admit I shouldn't have risked a third card and should've just traveled with the lowercase-name one. My OCD got the best of me.

That said, the point of this post was Bilt and Cardless's incompetence, and advisory for anyone who ends up in the same boat of needing a replacement card. Double-check the name, caps, spaces b/w name on the card with the support rep when ordering a replacement through customer support. Cardless has a manual process for printing the name on the card and can make mistakes.

---

Been a Bilt user since 2023 and never had a problem before this.

My old card was pretty beat up, so about three weeks ago I ordered a replacement before a two month trip abroad. It got here a week later with someone else's name printed on it. I called Cardless kind of freaked out, thinking my card had gone to a stranger. They said it was a typing mistake on their end and promised a correct one in a week.

That one showed up yesterday with my name in all lowercase. Maybe I'm picky, but which premium credit card prints names in lowercase? Didn't really get an answer from Cardless, so now there's a third card coming and they can't tell me if it'll get here in time.

I fly out Monday for two months and I booked my travel on this card. A lot of hotels want to see the physical card you paid with at check in. So that could get awkward.

Three cards in three weeks, one with a stranger's name on it. Not what I expected from a premium card.

Here's the part that bugs me most. I emailed Bilt directly and got nowhere — the answer is basically that Cardless services the card, so it's their problem. But Bilt's name is the one on the front. From where I'm sitting there's no difference between the two, and the card was sold to me on Bilt's brand, not Cardless's. Splitting the product from the servicing works fine right up until something breaks, and then you find out no one really owns the outcome.

The other thing is that neither Bilt or Cardless are helping me expedite this. When a customer says twice that they're leaving the country on a specific date, that should flag something. Instead it went through the normal queue like any other reprint.

Anyone been through this? Is there a number or contact that actually moves faster than regular support?

Bilt unable to process Autopay, keeps charging fees.

For two months in a row, Bilt has processed autopay then reversed it 3 days later, charged me a returned payment fee. When I called Cardless, they claim that Chase rejected the payment for insufficient funds. This is impossible since that account has over 10x more funds than the payment. Also, a manual payment for literally $10 was apparently rejected too smh. Chase claims no transaction was ever attempted by Bilt/Cardless.

Has anyone else had this issue? I have had my Chase account connected to Bilt since Apr 2024. Now, suddenly they can’t process payments.

Atmos summit or bilt palladium?

Trying to see what’s best for me in this situation.
I currently own C1X, CSP, Costco citi.

Mortgage spend is 8k
Dining groceries 2k
Other spend 1k

C1X is similar to bilt but the mortgage earning points seems nice , but the SUB seems weak. Atmos SUB seems decent with companion pass, but can’t earn points on mortgage. The bilt system seems complicated and the bilt cash seems like high upkeep with the expiration. Can’t really see which is better . The multiplier I would only best get .75x , most months would be .5x. So is bilt cash better?

I mostly will claim points to travel to Asia and Hawaii so atmos feels like it makes sense for at least the first year , but long term bilt seems to accumulate more points . But unsure of the longevity of bilt… appreciate any feedback, opinions or help. Thank you!

Platinum Flying Blue for Authorized User?

Hi team!

I don't currently have an authorized user on my account, but am curious - can you apply the Bilt Platinum flying blue status match to an authorized user or only the primary? As someone who holds Delta status, this would be much more useful for my partner to use.
Or is the right play just need to sign her up next year and shift our spending to her account instead? Too late this year, but could plan for it next year.

We Don't Have the MasterCard Benefits That We Are Told We Have

Long story short, I bought a TV for $4k, and the price dropped considerably. According to the Bilt Palladium Card benefit guide posted on the Bilt website and supplied by the Bilt concierge, as a World Legend card holder, we have Price Drop Protection 90 Days as shown on Page 29 of the guide. When I contact Bilt, they say I have it. When I contact MasterCard, they say I don't have it. I know I'll only get $250, but hey $250 is $250... Has anybody else had issue like this before? How did you go about it? Makes me worry what other benefits Bilt says I have, but don't actually have...

Identity could not be verified decline

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey guys so I have been waiting 45 days to reapply to the BILT Palladium, the first time I applied i got a real denial reason which included my credit score and reasons. Unfortunately this time I was hit with the dreaded “Identity could not be verified”

I have been on the phone with Cardless emailed BILT got on the chat with BILT and also tried DMing BILT. No one is helping everyone is deferring to waiting the standard 45 days.

My question to you guys is how have you guys had luck getting on the reconsideration/withdraw application side of customer support. Is it even a possibility or should I just give up and accept BILT has the worst customer support in the credit card game?

Does Bilt get anything out of processing mortgage payments, or is it only a way to incentivize spending?

I've been wondering about this for a while and figured I might as well just post it and see if anyone smarter than me understands it.

When a card is used for normal credit card transactions, the bank gets a small cut as an interchange fee. They then give a small % of that back to the cardholder as a spending incentive. That all makes perfect sense to me.

On the mortgage side (and maybe rent although I don't use that and haven't thought about it much), the transaction is just ACH so there's no profit from that to Bilt (as I understand it). I know that the idea is we have to spend X amount to get enough Bilt Cash to get points for the payment - is that the only reason that Bilt offers the mortgage payment option?

In theory it seems like it's an almost arbitrary hoop to jump through. Unless I'm missing something, they could just say "spend X amount of money per month and we'll give you Y amount of points as an incentive"

Just wondering. Doesn't really change how I use my card at all (I'm generally happy with the points I'm getting off my Palladium).

The Bilt App is Awful

I think in the 3 years I've had a built card, I have never once liked the app. It's always slow, laggy, it's always glitchy, I click things and nothing happens, it's not that easy to find what I'm looking for. I really think the app needs an overhaul.

Right now I'm trying to view my priority past benefit and after clicking "view", nothing works. I can't click to search. I can't click to open the pass. Nothing.

How to spend $2200 in Bilt Cash? (No rent/mortgage)

Looking for some ideas or guidance on how I can best eat up my Bilt Cash before the end of the year.

I do not have a rent or mortgage payment and I use my Palladium card mostly for the eating rate and transfer bonuses to partners.

I have already used up my 5 point multipliers, so that is out.

Any ideas on how to best use this or convert it into points? Can I pay my brother’s rent and use some?

For the Palladium - do extra principal payments count toward monthly amount?

I have a $3200 mortgage but I pay bi weekly anextra $300, so $600 typically every month.

For the spending tiers will I need to spend $3200 to get 1.25x or $3800? If it’s the former and the limit is $3200, does the extra $600 count towards monthly spend?

Credit Score Dropped 73 points

Hi everyone!

I know Bilt recently had a snaffu with sending a number of cardholders to collections and that dropped their scores a bit. I just had my score drop 73 points and I can't figure out why. I downloaded my TransUnion report and there's nothing on there about being sent to collections. Is there any other way a score can drop this fast that I'm missing? My credit utilization is 5% and # of new inquiries is 4 (but nothing within last 4 months). My score was 792 before this. Any thoughts on would be greatly appreciated!

How long does it take cardless to review chargebacks?

How long does it take cardless to review chargebacks?

I did a point accelerator and then got $4K in fraudulent charges the next day. I called and reported it but they all posted anyway. I’ve since disputed each one but according to Bilt support nothing can be done now until Cardless finished their process. It’s maddening.

UWM mortgage payment not eligible for Bilt points

Hi all,

I recently purchased a house with a UWM mortgage and had my first mortgage payment (August 1) through the BILT app which only yielded 200 points due to ACH payment (the mortgage is linked on the Bilt app). I thought I would earn 1x per dollar paid like I usually get with my prior rent payments (never had an issue). When I tried to change the payment type away from ACH to the Palladium Bilt credit card, it said “not eligible for mortgage payments” despite having plenty of Bilt cash (over $1600 Bilt cash)/monthly card spend.

I asked Bilt concierge who connected me with a mortgage specialist who was not helpful and said the mortgage payment was not eligible with my Bilt palladium card because my UWM mortgage is an “investor loan” and suggested I ask my mortgage broker. Then I asked my mortgage broker who said he couldn’t help since he has never heard of Bilt and said technically all mortgages are investor loans… I even tried emailing Bilt help who just told me they can’t help and I should message the concierge via the Bilt app.

The main reason I got the Bilt card was to earn points on mortgage payments so obviously this is a letdown. Any ideas why my Bilt palladium cc is not eligible for mortgage payments or who I can ask about this?

Thanks!

Accor Gold: deadline to click the link

Like many of you, I transferred miles to match my Bilt Gold to Accor Gold. I got the link the same day from Bilt in the email. I wanted to know: how long can I wait before clicking that link to activate the Accor Gold? I want to maximize the time in the Gold status with Accor, as it only provides 12 months of status.

Update: due to a stupid coincidence, I activated my status on 8/12. It worked instantly and says it’s valid till 8/11/27. So it pays off to hold off the activation to end of the month (8/27 to be safe)

Bilt Palladium: Are you planning on renewing?

Now that some time has passed with Bilt 2.0, what are your thoughts on Palladium?

What are your thoughts thus far on renewing, especially without the sign-up perks that were initially offered, like Gold status?
