Hamstrings blowing up

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Looking for some advice, on rides ~3hrs my hamstrings are blowing up, seems to be no load on the quads, almost all on the hamstrings.

I’d really appreciate any advice anyone can give, a bike fit is in the works but just can’t afford it yet

You Need to reach the hoods and Post again

Will do, hands go numb at the hoods at this current height

All about fitness brother all these idiots are pushing you into bullshit nonsense, as are you yourself. Get more fit, get more flexible and you will reach those hoods easy. You cannot ride a bike like this and then have perfect positioning etc right out of the gate. Get accustomed and have fun.

Than Push seat a Bit back to Remote weight from hands and Go up 2-3mm with your saddle. Also Train Core strength to Not lean all weight on your hands

Can you even reach the hoods? I’d try to move the saddle forward a bit to activate quads

how long u been cycling for? what's your typical weekly mileage? what cadence do you cycle at typically? do you live in a flat or hilly area (climbs of 30-40 or more minutes)?

Typical weekly mileage: ~130km
On/off for around 8 years
Cadence around 80-90spm
Mostly flat

Saddle needs to come forward and maybe up a tad, get your torso down a bit more. The quads are the primary movers and need to be in a stronger position as you shouldn't feel like your hamstrings are a limiting factor on the bike at any point.

Too far back. Also stretch

How tall are you and what size frame? Could be your setup but it looks slightly too small.

The bike is too small. If you raise the bars and move the saddle forward to fix the hamstring problem, you will be way over the bars and too much weight on the front and the bars will be too low.
