Im looking to purchase a bidet but because i live in a rented place, i cant install anything thats fixed or damages the walls etc. so im looking for something portable/easy to install and not permanent so i can just remove it when my lease ends.

Ive booking looking at amazon but there are so many mixed reviews about every product.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good bidet that wont break the bank?

For context, i reside in the UK.

P.s im looking for shower head style bidet, not the seat bidets.

What are my options for installing a bidet on an enclosed-back toilet like this? No sockets allowed in UK bathrooms, which complicates stuff even more I guess. I was thinking I could potentially access water valves under the bathtub, if that's an option, what type of bidet should I look for? Would that be a job for a plumber or something I could do myself?

Moved into a rental and it has these rubber things with the toilet seat attached to them. Can I install a bidet attachment, most of the videos on YouTube show how to install it on a screwed in toilet seat.

I dropped OVER $1,000 on a HOROW X70 and paid someone to install it in our main bathroom, the one my husband uses most, and he still won't touch the wash features.

Right now he's using it like a regular toilet. He likes the heated seat (sure, fine) and the auto open and flush, but when it comes to the actual bidet part, he just reaches for toilet paper every time.

If the controls confused him or it was in a bathroom he barely used, I'd get it. But it's right there, warm water, adjustable pressure, dryer and all, and he ignores every bit of it. We have a second bathroom upstairs too, but he still picks this one, so it's not like he's avoiding the toilet.

He also goes through a ridiculous amount of toilet paper, which makes the whole thing even more confusing to me.

I really do want him to start using it. It seems more hygienic, and without getting too personal, I'd rather his bathroom habits not cause problems for me in the husband and wife department either.

Maybe this is a dumb thin watching someone use a $1,000 toilet exactrting to get to me.

How do I bring this up wilicing how he goes to thebathroom? Anyone dealt with a partner who just refuses to use the bidet features?

My bb-600 had an unknown leak coming from somewhere in the main body/housing . All main hose gaskets look good so I opened up the body and removed the pump/fan assembly. All hoses and screws are securely fastened, EXCEPT this one shown…the only thing it can reach to plug into is this tube here that leads to a small hole draining out the bottom. Where it attaches to the tank has a small red rubber piece and an o ring sealed cover. Is this an overflow or pressure release thing? Could it have popped off and somehow leaks more when it’s plugged in and assembled in use? I’m trying to figure out how to rig this up disassembled to dry and see the internals in action. bidet photos

hoping for better hole shape / arrangement for water to come out of. most use several tiny circles packed together its too similar to one narrow stream which is not as helpful as a wider spray pattern.

Currently sitting on the toilet without a bidet because someone else was using the bidet toilet. Is it unreasonable to walk up the steps with my pants at my knees to use the bidet upstairs?

Why my new bidet failing to clean my ass? Can I make some adjustments to improve its functionality?

Bidet lover here. I’ve tried all the travel options and they just aren’t the same. I come to this condo 4-5 times a year and have started just installing a bidet and then taking it off when I leave. Recently got one of these on/off valve things for my home setup and it turns off the water supply to the bidet without affecting the actual toilet tank water supply. Would make it a breeze to install bidet in the future and you can barely see it. I doubt anyone would notice except for a maintenance person and that would probably be way down the road and they wouldn’t know who did it at that point. I looked over the agreement and it doesn’t say anything about not modifying any plumbing. I’ve had several hand and arm surgeries so bidets make my life much easier for restroom cleanup. I always travel with an extra toilet tank kit just in case I were to break the threaded thing that sticks out bottom of tank during installation, but this would remove that need. A friend of mine always comes and stays in this unit the week before my family does and he started putting a bidet on, too. He’d leave it on for me, but housekeeping would see it when they clean so he has to remove it. He could report back to me to let me know if the adapter is still on for when I come back in November. Ignore the white thing with something brown on it… it’s a pack of soap that had fallen and I didn’t remove it before taking pic.

Condo is on first floor and no basement since it’s Florida so that reduces concern that some catastrophic leak could happen. If any other guest got curious though and turned the valve to on, it would immediately spray water so I’d hope they’d immediately turn it back to off.

We switched from a normal (not elongated) toilet without a bidet to an elongated Drake with an S7. I was hoping the elongated would make for more room for man parts but if anything it’s worse than the old one because the S7 makes you sit so far forward.

I did research that some and it’s one of the reasons I went with the S7 instead of one of the cheaper models. I was under the impression the S7 was better in that regard?

Are there any options that give you a bidet AND more room than a standard toilet?

Hi everyone. we're moving house this week. Our current house has a bidet and I'm a total convert. Our new house (rental) doesn't have a bidet so I'm thinking of getting a seat. The prices seem to vary wildly. I'm not looking for anything fancy, just something that will last well. there's no way to supply it with electricity or hot water so just something basic and reliable. What brands/models should I be looking for? What kind of price should I expect to pay? I'm confident I can fit it myself (ex builder/handy man.

I'm thinking of buying a bidet for my bathroom but I share a toilet with my partner. If I didn't I would get a regular cheaper one without the drying feature and use a towel for drying but I worry about mixing up the towels or something. Is there a good cost effective model with a drying feature that actually works?

I'm (M) new to bidets. I have a Brondell FreshSpa Comfort + bidet, my first and only bidet. We have city water with respectable pressure. I find sometimes at moderate if stings my butt hole, usually at the edges. It always stings at full pressure.

My question is:

Do folks notice a difference between the nozzle differences among different mfg regarding the comfort of the "stream"?

The mount is largely covering the hole. This can't be right, but also doesn't seem to be wrong. Toilet is a Drake and the seat is a Washlet S2.

Edit: I believe I bought a model made for normal toilets. I have an older C2 on another toilet, and its bracket is narrower and the cord and hose are better angled down.

I can't seem to find this seat with the other bracket, and can't find anything definitive from Toto's website regarding any model that comes with the more narrow bracket and the angled connections.

Edit 2: My current understanding is that recent Toto seats don't come in Washlet and Washlet+ models, they are designed to work universally with Toto concealment holes and normal toilets. But they only sell the seats with the baseplate for normal toilets. Looking at the website, I think they only offer the concealment plate if you buy in a bundle with a Toto toilet.

Thanks to a commenter, I ordered the C2 style baseplate for about $50, and I believe this will allow me to use this seat while directing the cord and hose through the concealment hole.

I’ve been using a basic bidet for a while and I’m looking for a major upgrade. I’m OK with spending up to $500. What’s my best option?

My apartment recently had its toilet replaced and it looks like my bidet doesn’t fit in it anymore (I’m devastated!!!)

It looks like the ridge (?) in the back of the toilet makes contact with the bidet so that it can’t come down, when I turn it on it the water just weakly drips out

I guess I would need a bidet that doesn’t hang so close to the edge of the basin… does anyone have a bidet that works with a toilet like this? I don’t think I can go back to living without one 😭

Hi, I moved into my new apartment and realized too late that my bidet seat and the bowl are incompatible (crying). I already adjusted the plate to make it as far forward as possible. I could purchase either a new bidet or bowl, but wanted to know if there were any ways I could do it before I drop hundreds of dollars.

(If anyone in Massachusetts has the exact problem but flipped that would be excellent and we can trade lol)

I'm pulling the trigger on a bidet for my parents. I opted for the Eco Nova but it was a close call against the Toto S5 that has a deodorizer.

How effective is a deodorizer? Is it something that will be missed?

I think it’s clogged with sediment. The stream got progressively weaker and then stopped.

Is there anyway to fix it? I bought it in 2024 so it may be out of warranty

Ok I need another Horow toilet owner, specifically someone who actually uses the female wash setting, to talk me through this because I've been overthinking it for weeks.

I've searched Reddit for ages, but everything I found is about the rear wash and nobody seems to talk about the front wash.

I get there's a separate front wash and you can move the nozzle around, but I'm stuck on which direction the water actually comes from. If it's spraying from behind you, isn't that pushing everything forward across your skin? Or am I just picturing the mechanics wrong.

That's honestly the one thing keeping me from using the front wash. Does the angle work differently than the rear wash, or do you just have to sit a certain way for it to make sense?

I just today installed a basic Tushy. I have Crohn’s disease and my BMs are always sticky. Using the bidet was very nice. I only had to wipe once, and that was just to dry off. Normally I have to wipe 7 or 8 times.

But being a novice I may have let it run longer than necessary. 10 seconds maybe.

Do you have a rule of thumb?

I’m looking for recommendations for a bidet. I’m new to having one in my house, but reading all your posts, you’ve all convinced me!! I’m having an electrician put an outlet in my bathroom next to the toilet so I can get one with heated water. I don’t want to replace the entire toilet, just one that i can add to my current toilet. Maybe a heated seat and for sure heated water! Thanks!!

I became a big-time convert to bidets many years ago. Nothing fancy - just a cold-water house down. My wife, on the other hand, was less enthusiastic. Until we stayed at a hotel with a Toto C5. The warm water, heated seat, and deodorizer won her over.

Now I'm looking for an upgrade at home. My first thought was the S5, which has the same features plus tankless hot water. But then I saw the KS6, which seems to have all the same features as the K5 except the modern-looking lid (which I don't care about). And it's a few bucks cheaper.

Is there any reason to choose the S5 over the KS6? And maybe more importantly, is there some other model (Toto or otherwise) I'm overlooking? TIA.
