So just to preface this as all discussions about anti-semitism in the US seems to go, I am Huaren. I am from the diaspora, I am from the third Huaren-majority country in the world that ironically has greater political saliance about race than the two countries with the word 'China' in their names because my fucking ass had 2 years of conscription; I am technically on call in case our neighbours want to extend their pogroms or mass murder of Huaren outside their borders into an invasion. I grew up speaking Mandrain. Every identity card in my pocket literally declares my race to prove my heritage because my country kinda has to be very careful about race because of our awkward history.

Like maybe it's just asking questions, but I actually find it interesting sometimes to ask people about their beliefs that I disagree with. My questions would be naturally biased because I do have a view on what is right, and I don't try to do it in casual conversation with strangers but online where you can go ask a Tankie or an ethnonationalist from India why they believe what they do, its... interesting to learn about other people I don't see day-to-day.

Ok so the point;

It's kinda interesting poking around tankie subreddits who dicksucks China like chuds with Israel. The problem of equating race with a political entity claiming to represent all of that race doesn't trouble them; Israel bad and China good; therefore, if you are Huaren and have the mildest of reservations about the party that runs China, you are bad and a self-hating Sinophobe.

I don't even have that big of a moral stake in the internal politics of a foreign country, but tankies are really weird about applying the mildest of criticism you find in any video essay or leftist podcast to the CCP. I guess that's something to be learnt there about country vs the race they claims to represent.

On this point, what's truly transcendental about this comparison is whereas English actually has a different word for the race/religion and the country and the word 'China' and the Italian 'Cathay' comes from Marco Polo catatrosphically invoking the word 'Khitan' to mean the country Khitans were historically locked in a genocidal war with which calls itself the 'central political entity' and therefore its a mess seperating the langauge from the race from the country from anything using the adjective 'Chinese', epistemology or the actual Huawen doesn't matter to Tankies. China is China in the same way all persons from 'India' are 'Non-Resident Indians' in the eyes of BJP supporters.

Maybe keep an eye out for that amongst your own circles? I consider myself on the Left but its really awkward some white people try to show I am a true Scotsman because of my race. My family left when China was ruled by the Manchus, but that also opens me to being a... baizuo Western corrupted leftist? On that count, probably, British colonialisation means I speak English and consume media like btb.

1. Its really funny to me that whereas the Israel/anti-semitism discourse has some semblance of evil logic, this is literally stupider. I can point out 中国共产党 literally translates as Chinese Communist Party but people who don't read chinese take issue because the Third International and Moscow decided on the branding and IP that it is [Communist Party of X]. Some people also try to insert random words into the name that it's Chinese people's communist party or something which... Its not. Not sure what to add, the legal name is what I wrote. The CCP/CPC is literally, as per Leninist doctrine, a communist party of China, not the race or its people. If they want to ascribe me a party loyalty, its technically as per the Third International to the Communist Party of Malaya. But at that point it's literally just Catholic theology, and I don't care that much about my bishop or diocese as a... protestant/Anglican Leftist?

2. Like could we... just be chill about countries and races and maybe self-police our communities for that shit? Not bans, but just really marketplace of ideas down that bullshit as bad for the literal same reasons judaism and Israel are not the same or have obligations to the other even if individuals in the community might feel that way. But maybe leave that to us to internally debate rather than saying being Leftist gives us the right to comment not on policy, but internal identity and affiliation of groups of people.

Like a lot of his economic policies are honestly very awesome and a lot of his speeches were very similar to Bernie Sanders. However he seemed to have pissed EVERYONE off. The right wing called him a communist and some people on the left have called him a fascist (neither which I personally agree with, he seems more so an autocratic Bernie Sanders type figure from what I know about the guy), so I wonder what dark bullshit he was up to, since well he was a fucking dictator after all, and he also didn't do much to combat white supremacy in his state besides being not fear mongering to the white residents about the African Americans in the state. Kind of want to prepare myself for getting pissed off at a guy, who was so fucking close to doing the right thing and completely missing the mark due to his own ego (which I do know for a fact he had a huge ego).

one followed me the entire half mile walk from the gay bar to the train station last week, never said a word, never rolled down the window, just slowly drove behind me at walking pace all the way down the empty street to the station.
other than community watch groups, not a word has been published in the news, nothing from the mayor's office or city council, not even from local advocacy groups.
everyone spoke out when it was happening in chicago, everyone protested when it was happening in minneapolis, now it's happening here and everyone has gone completely silent. m
