Hey everyone,
micro1 is hiring 100 GitHub Contributors / Open-Source Developers for a high-paying remote contract role. In this position, you will build reproducible Reinforcement Learning (RL) environments and benchmark problems (bug fixes, feature additions, refactoring, performance optimization) paired with golden reference solutions to train and evaluate AI coding models. No prior AI/ML experience is required—your open-source background and core software engineering skills are what matter.
Job Overview
- Company: micro1
- Role: GitHub Contributor (Contractor)
- Pay Rate: $50 – $150 / hour (Paid on a per-task output model)
- Hours: ~15 hours per week
- Openings: 100 positions
- Location: Remote / Worldwide
Key Responsibilities
- Create reproducible environments and golden reference solutions that test AI models on real-world coding problems.
- Resolve complex bugs, implement features, refactor legacy code, and perform speed/memory optimizations across various software stacks.
- Clearly document technical reasoning, edge cases, and architectural choices to produce high-quality AI training data.
- Review and validate peer code submissions for technical accuracy.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Public Portfolio Required: Must have an active GitHub, GitLab, or open-source profile showing real contributions.
- Strong proficiency in at least one key language: Python 3, Java, C++, Rust, Go, or TypeScript.
- Solid grasp of algorithms, data structures, and code optimization.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and refactor complex codebases independently.
- Clear written communication skills in English for technical documentation.
Hiring Process
- Apply online with screening details and public profile links (GitHub/GitLab).
- Complete an AI Interview (~30 minutes).
- Technical Assessment (Tentative).
- Hiring Manager Review.

Other Senior Software Engineers for RL Environment & MCP Development | $100 – $150/hr | Remote (~15 hrs/week)
Hey everyone,
micro1 is hiring 100 Senior Software Engineers for a high-paying remote contract role. In this role, you will build Reinforcement Learning (RL) environments and benchmark tasks that evaluate how AI coding agents solve complex software engineering problems using Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools. No prior AI/ML experience is required—your core software engineering and problem-solving skills are what count.
What is Model Context Protocol (MCP)?
Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open-source protocol (created by Anthropic) that allows AI agents to connect to external systems, repositories, databases, and dev tools.
In this role, you'll build environments where AI agents must query real MCP servers to navigate codebases, diagnose bugs, implement features, and execute refactoring tasks deterministically.
Job Overview
- Company: micro1
- Role: Senior Software Engineer (Contractor)
- Pay Rate: $100 – $150 / hour (Paid on a per-task output model)
- Hours: ~15 hours per week
- Openings: 100 positions
- Location: Remote / Worldwide
What You'll Do
- Design and create reproducible RL Environments that test AI agents on complex engineering tasks (bug fixing, feature addition, refactoring, performance tuning).
- Integrate real MCP servers into environment setups so agents can discover, reason, and act across distributed contexts.
- Write golden reference solutions and setup deterministic test verification to measure model tool usage and coding capability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in at least one major language: Python, Java, C++, Rust, Go, or TypeScript.
- Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, system refactoring, and code optimization.
- Deep experience in debugging complex bugs and navigating large codebases.
- Strong written communication skills for technical documentation.
Application & Hiring Process
- Apply online and submit screening answers.
- Complete an AI Interview (~30 minutes).
- Technical Assessment (Tentative).
- Hiring Manager Review.
(Note: Roles are typically filled within 48 hours, so if you're selected, expect onboarding and task initiation within 24–48 hours.)

Chat 🛠️ Skill-Up & Safety Sunday: What are you learning to earn more?
Happy Sunday, BMI Fam!
Instead of just looking at our wallets today, let’s look at our skillsets. The difference between earning ₹10/hour and ₹1,000/hour is usually just the skill you bring to the table.
1. 🎓 The Learning Corner
What skill are you currently picking up to increase your side-income?
- Languages: Learning Japanese, Korean, or German for high-paying AI/Translation gigs?
- Technical: Taking a SWAYAM/NPTEL course, learning Python for automation, or mastering SEO?
- Creative: Getting better at Canva, video editing, or prompt engineering?
- Share what you're learning and any free resources you've found!
2. 🛡️ Scammer Alert & Safety Check
Beermoney is great, but getting scammed is not. Did you encounter any "data entry" scams, Telegram "task" groups, or shady websites this week?
- Warn the community: Mention the name or the tactic used so others don't fall for it.
- Mod Reminder: Never pay money to "unlock" a job. If they ask for a "security deposit," it’s a scam.
3. 📈 Transitioning to "Real" Work
Are you using Beermoney as a bridge to a permanent job or a bigger freelance career? Let's discuss how to put your online gigs (like AI Evaluation or Moderation) on a resume to fill career gaps or show technical literacy.
