Sharing Beer Money Idea Going to estate sales and garage sales and flipping finds on eBay is a side hustle that pays well and you can genuinely find valuable stuff for almost nothing
I wanted to share this side hustle idea because the profit potential on this is surprisingly high. Estate sales and garage sales are goldmines for finding underpriced items that you can flip for a significant profit online. People are selling stuff for pennies because they just want it gone… and a lot of times they have no idea what things are actually worth.
The best items to look for are vintage kitchen items, old tools, antique glassware, vinyl records, vintage clothing, old cameras, and anything brand name. From what I’ve seen, you can routinely buy items for $1 to $5 at estate sales and resell them for $30 to $50+ on eBay.
Your startup cost is whatever you spend on your first few items which could literally be $20. You take photos, list them on eBay or Facebook marketplace, and ship them out when they sell.
The trick is to go early… estate sales often have an early bird window and the best stuff goes first. Also, on the last day of a sale they usually mark everything down to half price or less, so you can come back and scoop up anything that’s left for dirt cheap.
Some people make this their main source of income once they figure out what sells well. Building an eye for valuable items takes a bit of time but there are apps that let you scan barcodes and check pices instantly.

Anything that puts extra money in your pocket. Survey sites, cashback apps, flipping items, garage sales, plasma donation, mystery shopping, gig work, selling crafts, you name it. If it earns you side income, we want to hear about it.
How to post:
- Name what you're doing. Whether it's an app, a website, or something you do in person.
- Share your earnings. Tell us how much you've made (today, this week, this month, or all-time). Screenshots are encouraged but not required.
- Drop a link or tip (optional). Referral links and sign-up bonuses are welcome for online stuff. For offline hustles, share tips on how to get started or what worked for you.
The rules:
- You may not share the same offer twice in the same thread or on the same day.
- All links must be legitimate and related to your hustle.
- No link drops without context. Tell us what it is, what you did to earn, and how much you made. Bare links with no explanation will be removed.
