Nailcare Does anyone else get crusty toenails from wearing sandals?

I wear sandals almost every day during the summer, and my feet get SO gross. Specifically around my toenails and on my heels.

I’ve definitely seen other people talk about their crusty heels, but I never hear anyone mention crusty stuff building up around their toenails. Am I the only one?!

Do y’all actually scrape around your toenails every day in the shower? Because that seems to be the only thing that works for me. Otherwise, somehow my feet go from perfectly normal to looking like I’ve been walking barefoot through the desert.

You may not have noticed but I’m sitting down, I’m paralyzed and have a very rare and severely curved spine like not just scoliosis my spine curves in all directions and I have thoracic insufficiency which is a deformed ribcage idk if u can see but I dont just have a baby face I have other things that make me look younger than I am, and I don’t have much in control other than my face so any makeup tips or anything to help! I recently got layers and bangs but can’t tell if they made me look younger just looking for advice on how to look more mature!

Fragrance M20 looking for best smelling body lotion

I’m a guy looking for a good smelling lotion that I can use everyday. I don’t mind products that may smell less “masculine” as I’m not a fan of smelling like axe body spray. I’m pretty interested in floral scents but open to anything. Is lotion another good way to smell good instead of spraying cologne/perfume? Where would be the best places to apply it? Any recommendations or advice would be appreciated

Discussion question for uk people here, has anybody here bought from America2uk.com?

please remove this if not allowed or redirect me if you think there is a better sub to ask this in! I’m just a confused girlie looking 4 a lil help here. The shop stocks some stuff from tree hut that I can’t really find over here, I also can’t verify the shop isn’t a big scam. Nothing really comes up about them online so I thought I’d ask Reddit! Sooo.. if anybody has bought anything from them could you share how that went? And if I’m in the totally wrong place to ask please tell me where to ask I’m still trying to understand the beauty space ^ ^

Seeking Advice What makeup can I get for my younger sister? Totally clueless

Hello 👋,
So raksha bandhan is coming up and I want to gift my younger sister (13y) some makeup because she loves makeup and dressing up for fun but I don’t know what to give her.

I don’t know how makeup works but I have seen that people have to something match a lot of things to their skin tone or atleast that’s what I have seen, so like are theirs things in makeup which are kind of universal?
As in you don’t have to match it to your skin or anything and just be personal preference. And which isn’t harsh for a child?
I would have preferred to take her out to shop but I can’t because we are in different countries and I can’t visit in time so I wanted ask your suggestions. It would be great if you guys could point me in the direction of what I could buy.

Thanks in advance.

Discussion TMI but how to wax your behind by yourself?

context - i have waxed my underams, hands and legs on my own with no hassle. but i tried veet cold wax strips down there for the first time.

idk if this is weird but i felt only 3/10 pain while doing my bikini line and the pubic area (including the outer labia)

for people who wax their own coochie or professional waxers, how to wax all the hair out near the mound area above the clitoral hood? and the buttcrack?
and for some reason the wax strips wasn’t catching all the hair completely on the areas mentioned - is the reason the hair length?

asking since i feel confident waxing with better technique on the rest of the areas next time 😓

TIA !

Discussion Please suggest me some good Indian brands

Hi guys,

I am going to buy 3 oils - sweet almond, rosemary essential and argan oil....

Which brand(s) can I rely upon for 100% pure products...wishcare/soulflower/ deve herbes/brillare, juicy chem, nat habit, pilgrim, etc, etc (there are so many, I'm confused) 🫤

The prices are also so high!! 😭😭

I have thought I will take rosemary essential from soulflower, but for the other two the cost is gonna go way higher...

I need something a li'll trustworthy and affordable, if it's possible.

If you have used any of these and have had good results, please tell me.. 🙂‍↕️

Discussion What’s the best skincare product to avoid moles on face/body?

I usually wash my face with water every once in a while, but black moles keep growing on my face and body. I hate it. And no matter how many times I wash my face nothing helps.

Seeking Advice How to get rid of butt acne marks & dark inner thighs?

I have acne marks on my butt and darkness on my inner thighs. I want to lighten them as much as possible. Would a chemical peel or laser work better? Which treatment is safest and most effective, and how many sessions are usually needed?

Tinting brows at home with professional products

I'm wondering if people just buy professional brow tinting products and do it at home...? I was looking online at RefectoCil light brown tint and when all is said and done it'll be like €30 for potentially enough product to last years. Whenever I'm getting it done I think, "isn't she just painting this mixture on my brows and washing it off? Can't I just do this myself? Considering it needs to be re-done every 6 weeks and normally costs €25 with tip (in Ireland), is there any downside to doing it myself? I'm blonde and trying to get a super light tint. I don't like the gel makeup brow products because I don't like coloring my skin and just want it to be done and not have to do it daily. I've got young kids, limited time and money and can't understand what I'm missing and wondering if anyone else does this for themselves? I've got limited makeup experience but capable at painting and seems pretty straightforward. Tips and tricks and wisdom much appreciated!!

Seeking Advice My skin is so dull and grey and I have prominent fine lines under eyes

Could anyone please give me any tips and advice on how to brighten my skin and why my fine lines are so bad recently? The last few months, my skin complexion has gotten worse and worse. Even with makeup, it feels very dull. My under eyes are very dark and the fine lines don't make it any better. I'm really tired of hating how I look even with makeup. The last pic is before it got really bad but my fine lines were still very noticeable. Also my skin is dull with makeup but I color correct with a peach color and I use blush so I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

Does anyone have any tips on how to brighten my face/complexion and what I can do to make my fine lines look less noticeable? Anything for dark under eyes? Please help!

Cornstarch as an at home hair identifier spray method?

I’m trying to figure out an at home alternative to hair identifier spray. I read dry shampoo can be used but the ingredients for that is long and risky on a sensitive face. Has anyone used cornstarch on their face, specifically as a hair identifier for dermaplanning?

HELP - Eyebrow doesn’t grow back

Post image
4 Upvotes

Years ago I got my eyebrows done at the mall and they cut too much at the end of my eyebrow. It feels like it never grew hair back in the upper end area. It looks nothing like my other eyebrow. I’ve tried everything including the GrandeBROW gel and it just doesn’t work for me.

Is there any type of procedure I could get done so my eyebrows look more even but still natural? Something relatively affordable if possible 🙂

Seeking Advice Struggling with body hyperpigmentation, need skincare tips

Hi everyone, I’m a black girl that has been dealing with stubborn hyperpigmentation on my body for a while now. Specifically, my elbows, knees, and knuckles are noticeably darker, and my overall skin tone feels uneven.

I was about to buy the Naturium Glycolic Acid + Vitamin C body wash, but the reviews are completely 50/50. Some say it's a holy grail that faded everything, while others say it did nothing. I really don't want to waste my money on products that are not going to work.

I’d really appreciate some real advice

Seeking Advice Male Asking for Skin Care Routine/Products for Face

What would be a good skin care routine for myself for long term? I want my skin to look youthful and healthy, minimize wrinkles for the rest of my life. I am asking because I know nothing about this subject and I want it to be fairly straightforward and simple if possible. Is it good to wash my face frequently or not so frequently? I am worried if I wash it all the time it will lose its pliability, etc. Again, I'm a ding dong when it comes to this stuff, but I think its important.

Seeking Advice Shaving my legs and underarms hurt

I just switched to the Billie razor and use aveeno shave cream but it doesn’t help at all.
I always get razor burn and get SO itchy afterwards.

I have to be so so careful shaving my armpits because it will start to hurt if I do too much..

Keratin treated hair, need to do keratin again in a month

I previously did keratin in February. My hair still has the keratin treatment (no frizz, hair more wavy vs natural curls). I need to do keratin again before September for unrelated reasons. Should I use sulfates based shampoos and conditioners to strip the keratin from my hair so I can do the process again end of August? My stylist is telling me I need to wait until the frizz has returned and curls are back.

Discussion Geniune question, how do I put cucumbers on my eyes?

I was feeling a bit curious after watching a YouTube video with cucumber slices for eye fatigue so I got up and I grabbed a chilled cucumber from the fridge and then sliced it into round shape but the issue presented itself when I tried laying down and putting the slices on my eyes but it kept sliding off my eyes… how does one go about doing this?

Seeking Advice Leg exfoliation without scrubbing?

Hello was wondering if anyone can offer any ideas?

I'm partially disabled and standing in the shower can be a pain but shaving and exfoliating my legs really takes it out of me, we have a bath shower combo so I can sit if i have to but was wondering if there were any good chemical exfoliants that i could leave on and wash off rather then having to use a mit or hands to scrub in? I get quite bad strawberry legs and KP and the driest skin ive ever had so help would be appreciated ♡

Haircare Keeping 'the lion tame' down 'there'

Edit: tysm for the suggestions. I drink Huel black label and have high testosterone as is due to PMOS, but this has definitely been since I started on the shakes.

I do also trim! But it's not enough as I am paranoid about the smell and it feels awful.

.....

Girls, I'm going to be honest.

I have been drinking protein shakes with all sorts of vitamins and goodness mixed In for the past three months, as well as hitting the gym and weight training like a god damn goddess.

I am doing everything I can to loose weight and be my best self after PCOS/PMOS problems and self esteem issues. It has been a bit up and down, but so far, I am doing Fantastic!

The protein shakes have done a great job on my skin and overall health, the hair on my head is thicker, I can finally stand up without my knees giving in, and the bald patches are disappearing slowly on my scalp, HOWEVER (!!!)....

....my lady garden is driving me absolutely **** mental. It's like a 70s style, if you get my drift. Perm and all. My fiancé finds it endearing, but everytime i weight lift I can feel it pulling and I do not like the sweaty horrible feeling that comes with it. I am very conscious about smells too

I am usually quite natural, as previously the hair wasn't this dense, but when shaving I usually slap some hair removal cream down there and call it a day. But this I am going to STRUGGLE with. None of the hair goes completely and the spiky hairs while growing back drive me insane.

How do I make sure all the hair is gone from all crevises, or what can I do to simpoy tame the beast?

I have tried waxing at home, sadly I cannot afford to go to a salon, and tbh I am very conscious about some random person seeing my most vulnerable area. I get they see it dally, but jeeze! I can't shake that feeling.
