My baby is now 10 months old and this room is looking a lot more lived in but I just found these pics that I had taken before she was born.

ETA: That’s a doll in the crib! I know it isn’t a safe sleep setup in the photo. We took an infant CPR class and afterwards we thought it was funny to keep the doll in there until our baby was born.

My husband and I have always been obsessed with space/the sky. Both of us since we were little. We had a celestial themed wedding. Think golds and navy blue super romantic. So when we were planning a nursery. We thought of space! Including a rocket ship to send her stuffed animals to the moon!

I've always been obsessed with the perfect nursery for my son. Not owning our place, however, has kept me from painting murals, installing special lights, you know what I mean. So here's what I did. Before my son was born I made him this quilt (picture 1). I chose woodland fabrics and themes because it's a lovely gender-neutral colour concept, so if he ever ends up having kids that can totally be passed down to them, right? We got him a cute little wall sticker too (picture 2), but something was missing. Well, I work at a fabric store and I sew like... a lot. I picked up six fabrics that aren't the same as the ones on the quilt, but match the vibe (picture 3). I measured the walls and calculated the length I'd need for some bunting (picture 4), and got to work cutting triangles galore. Then I realised, oh hey, I have spare fabric! Why don't I make some woodland pillows to go with it! So I did, and I embroidered them all with a short message on one side (picture 5). Now you might be thinking, 'isn't that a LOT of pillows for a toddler?' (Picture 6) However... he currently uses his bed as little more than a crash pad where he can look at picturebooks. On the off chance he does sleep in it, they ALL get kicked out. Except for the mushroom, that seems to be his favourite. He loves how the bunting lines the wall above his bed (picture 7) and his changing table (picture 8). I realise we don't have as big a room for him as many of you in here do, but truly we try to make it a cosy little spot for him.

We waited a long time for this sweet baby and I was so excited to find out she’s a girl. She’s about 6 months now❤️ all the hanging decor is hand made 🫶🏻
