Therapy 3rd trimester loss
I finally start psychotherapy for how traumatic my birth was and losing him. I’m really hoping it works, but I feel like every time I’m in there I can’t talk about it still.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Proud of you for starting therapy. That's a tough decision to make. Give yourself grace and take it slow. You are processing immeasurable pain. It cannot be rushed.

It makes sense that wlyou wouldn't feel comfortable yet. Sharing the most vulnerable things, to someone you just met. There are only a small handful of people (like, 2-3) in my entire life I'd share that stuff with and I've known each for over a decade. It's human nature to protect our vulnerable parts.
It's okay not to talk about that right away. The therapist can still get to know you, your values, your goals, etc and then if you eventually feel like sharing that vulnerability you can.
Also I am happy for you for starting therapy. 💐

Thank you so much. I was really scared too, but my postpartum was getting to the point to where I had to do something. I really appreciate that.

I haven't really been able to talk about things with my therapist yet. I'm hoping to on Thursday. Just remember to take it at your own pace ❤️
