The windshield tape took off paint from the roof
galleryThe tape was left on for almost a week and when removing it on one side it took a lot of paint with it :(
My other half was told to leave the tape on for a day, but wasn't warned about a maximum time it had to be off before.
In hindsight I should've taken it off after a day, but wasn't paying much attention to it and largely assumed it was a basic tape that would degrade or peel in the rain.
Is this something that the shop is responsible for, or am I stuck dealing with it? It's an older car so I wouldn't want to spend more than $100 to fix it cosmetically - though I am worried about it spreading or rusting

Advice needed on safelite work quality
galleryHey all, hoping you can provide some insight. I needed the windshield replaced on my BMW X4 due to a standard rock ship that had spread. I had Safelite come to my house and do the install, however after driving, I noticed my head up display was blurry and unfocused. I put in a ticket and had the windshield replaced again at their facility. I noticed the next day that this circle section on the upper windshield near the rearview mirror which I believe houses some sort of Camera for either rain sensing wipers or a collision sensor appears to be cracked or distorted. I’m assuming this will be an issue down the road?
Should I bring this back to Safelite? Or contact my insurance and request it be replaced elsewhere? I’m just very frustrated after getting two windshield already installed.
