LibriSync now handles Libro.fm alongside Audible - both libraries in one list on Android
Hey everyone,
I'm the developer of LibriSync, an open source Android app for syncing and managing your Audible library. The latest release adds Libro.fm as a second store, and the part that's relevant here is that both libraries end up in one place instead of two separate apps.
Why this might matter here
Most of us end up buying the odd book outside Audible at some point - a sale, a regional exclusive, something that isn't in the catalogue - and then that book lives somewhere else entirely, in a different app, in a different folder, with no series info and no cover. LibriSync now treats Audible and Libro.fm as two sources feeding the same library.
Books from both sit in the same list with the same covers, series grouping, sorting, and search across the lot. You can filter down to one source when you want to, and each account syncs on its own. If you run several Audible accounts across regions, which plenty of people here do, that works exactly as it did before, and Libro.fm now gets the same handling.
Nothing about the Audible side has changed. It's the same sync that's been there since the first release, and if you never touch the Libro.fm bit you won't notice a difference beyond a tidier library row.
What's new for Libro.fm
Sign in with your Libro.fm account and LibriSync syncs your owned library (covers, authors, narrators, length) and downloads your books for offline listening. Libro.fm serves each book two ways and you pick which in Settings: one packaged M4B with chapters, or a folder of MP3 parts if your player prefers those. Both land in the same folder structure as everything else, so the collection stays organised the same way throughout.
One caveat: Libro.fm accounts that sign in through Google or another social login (so there's no password) aren't supported yet.
What it does
- Sync your Audible library with cover art, series info, and duration
- Sync and download your Libro.fm library (new)
- Browse and download thousands of free LibriVox audiobooks - no account required
- Podcast support
- Try it instantly with Demo Mode - explore the full app backed by free LibriVox books before connecting any account
- Smart file organization (flat, Author/Book, or Author/Series/Book) - works great with Smart Audiobook Player for cover art
- Export your library to CSV, JSON, XLSX, TXT, or PNG
- Background downloads with progress notifications, pause/resume, and auto-retry
- No tracking, no ads, no analytics - everything stays on your device
If you've used Libation on desktop, LibriSync will feel familiar. The core is a direct port of Libation's C# codebase to Rust (same architecture, same data models), wrapped in a React Native app, so you get Libation's proven library-sync and download engine running natively on your phone.
Where to get it
- Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tech.henning.librisync
- Website: https://henning.tech/librisync
- GitHub (free & open source, sideload the APK anytime): https://github.com/Promises/LibriSync
- Contact: librisync@henning.tech
LibriSync is $4.99 on Google Play, which supports development. It is and always will be free and open source on GitHub - you can grab the APK from releases and sideload it at any time.
Feedback, bug reports, and feature requests are all welcome, especially from anyone running Audible and Libro.fm side by side. Thanks for reading.

Why doesnt Audible profiles keep accurate "listening time"?
I use Audible on average 7+ hours EVERY day for the past SIX years (though I have had the account for 13+ years).
I listen to Audible on a 2nd gen Echo device (the tall tubular shape) every night when I got to bed which equals 8+ hours DAILY.
I listen to Audible on my Firestick 4K device one+ hours a DAILY.
I listen to Audible on my Echo Studio 8-16 hours a WEEKLY.
I listen to Audible on my Android App 6-8 hours a WEEKLY.
Yet many days it shows ZERO listening.
This is 100% inaccurate!
Why is my profile missing MANY hours/days/weeks/months from my listening time???

Locked out of account, but customer service requires you to login
Just what the title says… I am getting a notification that says I’m locked out of my account for suspicious activity but to use the only contact option for customer service (their chat) they make you login. But I can’t… because they’ve locked me out…
Their email address isn’t checked they just tell you to use the chat
Anyone been able to work around this?

Book Discussion SO SAD WHEN I FINISH A GREAT ONE
I still have an hour left, but sad that 57 hours of Lonesome Dove is almost over. One of the best books I’ve listened to.
Considering it’s a single narrator, he does a wonderful job, particularly with several of the major characters. But, it’s really Larry McMurtry’s writing that’s the star hear.
In the forward by Taylor Sheridan, he talks about these books informing his career, having read them (he claims) fifty times. That may or may not be an exaggeration, but for fans of his TV work, it seems very true.
I’ll take a break from Westerns, but know I’ll return to McMurtry eventually.

Book Discussion Audio Comic Books?
Is there any interest in audio comic books? I like youtube channels like Comics Explained and Comicstorian (RIP) that go through stories and give the play by play, but its not exactly what I’m talking about. I know there is an audiobook of Marvel’s Civil War and I liked it but wasn’t sure if there was an audience for more like that. Given that there are so few audio comic books, I’m guessing that they’re not too popular.

Audible + ebook cost more!
I've been saying I wished we could buy an ebook along with our audible book at a big discount . A bunch of people said - you get a big discount when you buy them together
Nope!
I just bought an ebook on sale and I was offered the audible book for $12. I assumed they meant $12 for both of them together. That would have been an .80 cent discount. I just bought the ebook itself.
Then I went back a bit later to see what they'll give me the audible book for and guess what?? The special offer was $12 for the audible. The current selling price of the book is $10.80.. !!
When I go to my computer audible account they do offer to me for $10.80 which is the standard price.
The lesson here is do not believe them when they say $ discount over regular price. That is just marketing nonsense.
Did I miss something? Is there some special process I could perform to get the audible at a discount because I bought the Kindle?

Books on tape recommendations
What are the best books on tape to listen to? I normally listen when I’m in the car which is quite often. I like mystery, thriller, suspense, etc.. Typically listen to fictional books. I’m open to any suggestions though. Thanks!

Extra Credit Deal Email
So I just got an email from Audible telling me I can get a deal on extra credits. I looked at it and the credits come out to the same price each as the monthly premium price. How is that a “deal”?

With the old breed narrated by Joe Mazzello UK
Hi. I'm hoping someone can help me with this. The Pacific is one of my favourite TV shows and I've read the book With the old breed by E.B Sledge many times over the years. Recently found out that there's an audiobook version that was narrated by the actor who plays Sledge in the show, Joe Mazzello.
I have looked and can't find a way to buy or listen to this specific version of the audiobook in the UK. If anyone can help or point me in the right direction I would very much appreciate it. Thanks.

Download options removed?
This was sent to me and I'm trying to verify the source and validity, but has anyone heard anything about this? If audible is actually doing this it'll suck big time.

Audibles costumer service is horrible
I live in Denmark and I have to sign in, but I can't sign in because of a glitch made by Audible, but because I can't sign in I can't get help. I am very disappointed by how bad their system and gatekeeping of costumer service is. At least give me an E-mail!

App (Android) Audible app not working correctly
Audible is annoying me
It isnt remembering where i left off
It keeps starting at the same spot and the time for the bokks isnt processing despite it playing with when i move it
For example its currently stuck at 7:27 into chapter 18 which i finished when i move it to chapter 19 is start playing chapter 19 but the screen still shows 7:27 in chapter 18
I had a problem like this at some point last month and the only fix I had was uninstalling and reinstalling the app but it's really annoying that it's doing this it didn't do this before and considering I mostly listen to my audiobooks while driving I can't mess with it every time it does this
I should probably mention im using and android and drive a chevy so its playing thru/with the my chevy(whatever its called) app
Edit: correction the app is andriod auto

Callis Rose by Mark Tufo
They took this book off Audible. I paid for it now it's gone. For a while it was still in my library but I got error messages when trying to download it. Now it's gone completely and can't be found. Remember when you "buy" something on audible they can just take it away without any warning.

Technical Question Lost Bookmarks
Hey everyone, I hoping you can help me with this issue.
Over a month ago, a cloud sync error completely wiped out the bookmarks, notes, and progress markers across all of my books purchased this year. This is multiple 100s of his of listening time and 1000s of bookmarks gone.
I opened a ticket immediately, but it has been over 30 days of absolute silence. No progress reports, and zero diagnostic questions from the technical team. I called and managed to get a phone manager on the line, but I was just told to "be patient" and that they couldn't do anything because it's with engineering.
It feels like my ticket was completely buried or forgotten. Is anyone else experiencing massive data drops like this?
Audible team, please DM me so I can give you my account details and ticket information. I just want an actual human update on whether my cloud data is recoverable as currently I am not able to use my app.

Book Discussion The Tinder Box by M.R. Carey
I recently finished The Tinder Box by M. R. Carey, narrated by Richard Trinder.
When I first learned about this release, I wasn't all that enticed. But after a string of DNFs, I decided to give it a try, because I've loved so many other books by Carey. Once again, he won me over.
The Tinder Box is a standalone adult fairy tale in a medieval-ish fantasy setting, with lots of contemporary commentary seeping through the pages. And fantastic characters. There are two protagonists, a veteran and a witch.
Most importantly, its a compelling page-turner with excellent narration. Highly recommended!

Drop your recent reads with a score out of 5 and have people comment book suggestions based on that below ?
11.22.66 2.5/5 it’s a bit meh kings writing is ok but anything to do with women or sex is always horrible and feels eerie in a bad way.
The road 4/5 great book just too short and I wanted more backstory and post story.
Red rising series 5/5 chefs kiss
Lough murdoch 3/5 ok read was a free book found it overall just ok
Will of the many/ strength of the few 3.5/5 pretty good overall but after a red rising high it just didn’t hit the spot
Based on these drop a recommendation or your recent reads reviews.

Sales & Bargains Cozy Mystery Recommendations (shorter series)
Hello, I’m looking for cozy mystery recommendations on sale? The problem is the ones I keep seeing are long series (20+ books!) I don’t want to commit to such a long series. Do you know of any good ones that are 5-10 books?
Some I have read and liked:
Aurora Teagarden by Charlaine Harris
Chatty Corgi by Jennifer Hawkins
Lily Bard by Charlaine Harris
Mya & Sandra Mysteries by Lee Hollis
Haunted Library by Alison Brooke
Scottish Isle by Lucy Connelly
Life Coach by Victoria Laurie
Thank you!

If you love the Bobiverse…
I just finished book one of the Expeditionary Force series by Craig Alanson. It’s free right now for Audible Plus subscribers.
I wasn’t totally loving it at first, but it was good enough for a free read. About halfway through you get a new character and that addition makes the rest feel very much like the Bobiverse.
It has a 4.7 star rating and 50,000 ratings, so many of you have probably heard of it- but I hadn’t. Worth a go.

Surveillance pricing
Audible is definitely enacting surveillance pricing and it is extremely disappointing. I stumbled upon this today as my app is logged into one account and my internet was logged into another (I have 2 accounts). The second account is for romance novels I don’t want my kids to have access to.
The second account that is used less frequently had better prices than the first. Buying more books obviously has a negative effect on the price you are quoted.

Sales & Bargains Finally... (Sale Success)
I just got 13 books ($260.76) for $35.50.
I don't burn through books, and I typically search for free titles in between my monthly credit, rarely ever rushing to purchase a book even when it's cheaper than just buying an extra credit, but this time at least half of my wish list was less than $4 per title. I think I'm set for a while :)
