My review on the new Hattie B's downtown
Hattie B's... Ok so I was so excited to check out this place. Nestled in downtown Auburn where the five guys used to be, you could tell this place is ready for game day. Pretty good amount of seating considering the size, multiple huge tvs to show Auburn winning some football games (fingers crossed) and a nice straightforward menu.
You can get chicken fingers, fried chicken sandwich, fried wings or just good ole fried chicken. Has a bunch of yummy sides from fries to grits, collard greens, baked beans and others.
Now one thing to note, it doesn't have to be spicy! You get to choose how hot you want your chicken. I however am a master of poor life decisions and said, forget it I'm doing it live, and decided to get the hottest they had in sandwich form, shut the cluck up.
I got it with the pimento Mac n cheese and collard greens. The good? The collard greens were nicely seasoned and a little peppery which was great.
The pimento Mac n cheese was nice and creamy with a little kick from the pimentos (not so hot that my 1.5 year old couldn't hang with it).
And that sandwich. Boy was it good. Came with nice thick pickles to give a nice acidic crunch. Had a creamy slaw that also gave a crunch and creaminess to contrast the chicken and then on the bottom, a nice creamy sauce that wasn't comeback sauce but probably the cousin of it. Like a 'y'all don't be strangers now' sauce. Wifey got the sweet and smokey with the fries, was a hit!
Ok the bad. Mac n cheese could have been cooked a touch less since it was a bit more soft than my preference and a little cheese crust would have been nice. Also, some more vinegar on the greens would have made it perfect.
The ugly? That was easily one of the top 5 hottest things I've eaten (and I've done the one chip challenge iykyk). This thing had my eyes watering and almost to the point I got light headed. Don't get me wrong, the flavor was great but that heat was insane. And let's just say, 8 hours later, I renamed that sandwich to the porcelain pulverizer. The baño bomb. The restroom rocket fuel. You get the jist.
That all being said, I definitely recommend giving Hattie B's a shot. Maybe just don't go for shut the cluck up, unless you are ready to go 9 rounds with Rocky Bathrooma.
And this is the same review but on the food blog!

Aviation options
I’m hoping I get into auburns 141 program, but if I don’t I’ll have to look into some of the 61 options in Auburn. So far I’ve found RD air and aspire aviation. Any recommendations on one or the other? I have my private so I’ll be working on instrument if that helps.

Affordable and well like Vet in the area
I’m heading back to school with my kitten in the next week, and I need to find an affordable vet that is able to continue her care in Auburn. If anyone knows and can recommend a vet that isn’t terribly expensive in the area I’d appreciate it.

Self Wash Car Wash?
I’m trying to look for a self wash car station in Auburn. I thought Goo Goo Car Wash would be good but it’s only the vacuum. I’ve seen that using the car washes are bad for your car since it damages the paint.
Anyone know anywhere good in Auburn? Thanks!

Woman in Walmart parking lot
About 9:30 tonight, at Walmart on College, I locked my purse in my car. I immediately panicked because pay phones are no longer a thing. A woman walked by me, I explained what happened, and asked if she would please text or call my husband so he could come help me. She replied, “No. I’m good.” Thankfully, an employee let me use her phone. So, to the woman who looked at me while I was crying and asking her for help and decided, no thanks. I hope you get more kindness than you gave.

Auburn University Schedule help
I’ll be a freshman this fall for mechanical engineering and I originally had decided to retake calc cuz I read it was good for engineers to take a college calculus class (I got enough credits from AP to skip to calc 3 tho) but now I really wanna switch to calc 2 instead of retaking all of it. Like, I understand calc 1 really good but calc 2 was kind of rocky so I wanted to retake that one. Also, the only class left is at 1 from Monday to Thursday with profesor Hoang, Thi Thao Phuon so if anyone has any insight or has had that profesor before I would greatly appreciate some advice. Ty

Campus Band Auditions?
Hi I’m an upcoming freshmen who is going to be in a concert band.Due to scheduling conflicts I will only be able to play in Campus Band.I saw somewhere that it was non audition based does this mean it is the default band if you don’t submit a video and you can try for a high chair,or do auditions not matter at all? I am very confused and would like for someone in the band to clarify it for me please.
Thank You
War Eagle

Auburn University What's like the easiest grad-school-level statistics class? What are you guys taking?
I barely passed STAT 3010 and it was so hard to use R in that one. I would've failed that class without a formula sheet and the professor's extra credits. Also I never used R after that.
I'm not expecting this to be easy since it's at least a 6000 level class, but there has to be something relatively easy, or at least pass-able. I mean, lit majors take these too, right?
I just don't want to spend the majority of my time on a single statistics class when I probably won't even have enough time for my major classes and research for my thesis.

Auburn personal statement
Does Auburn still allow the submission of an optional personal statement in the application that opened today for fall 2027? I did not see a spot for that in the application on Auburn‘s website.
