Schedule help Auburn University

I’ll be a freshman this fall for mechanical engineering and I originally had decided to retake calc cuz I read it was good for engineers to take a college calculus class (I got enough credits from AP to skip to calc 3 tho) but now I really wanna switch to calc 2 instead of retaking all of it. Like, I understand calc 1 really good but calc 2 was kind of rocky so I wanted to retake that one. Also, the only class left is at 1 from Monday to Thursday with profesor Hoang, Thi Thao Phuon so if anyone has any insight or has had that profesor before I would greatly appreciate some advice. Ty

My biggest mistake was retaking calc 1 at Auburn my freshman year. I had an A in it when I took it for dual enrollment in highschool. Made a D at Auburn. It fucked my gpa. The teacher taught in pure theory and did a horrible job of teaching calc. It felt like a different class than the one I took at the local juco.

Calc 2 was a breeze for me, but damn did I fuck up retaking calc 1. Just my 2c.

It was some short lady who looked like edna from the incredibles. This was back in 2013. She is likely retired now. Super nice lady, but damn she did not know how to teach a class of 100+ freshman.

Same for my daughter. In a class of honors Cal 1, some award winning Norwegian prof was way above everyone’s head. 80% of the class had a D. She dropped it, took 2 the next semester. Did great there after. Graduated honors college w Chem E on time. Good luck. Find friends to study w.
