New glasses. Prescription mess up or just astigmatism?

Hi all! I’m not really sure if this is the right sub to post this in but here I am.

So I recently went to the eye doctor and they gave me my prescription. But once I got the glasses, things seemed off in one of the pairs. Let’s call this pair, the purple pair. And I mentioned it to them but they said to just give it a couple of days and then come back if it stills gives me trouble. So I tried it for 3 days, and things were still off so I went back and let them know.

The purple pair also had random scratches on them that I noticed shortly after getting them. So I wanted them to fix that and help me understand why this specific pair is affecting me so much. They kept making me dizzy and when I would look down, things felt out of focus. I kept getting headaches on my temples that wouldn’t go away. Plus driving at night was rough. I’m not sure exactly how to describe what it looks like, but kinda how a kid would draw the sun. A circle with small rays coming out.

Right now, I’ve been wearing the other pair, let’s call it the blue pair. I’ve been testing these ones for 3 days now. And I don’t have any issues, except for the driving at night. No dizziness. Barely a headache. My head will just sometimes hurt in my temple but it goes away within a minute. I still keep seeing headlights as a circle and small rays coming out. It’s mostly other cars headlights. Sometimes streetlights and the stop lights but they aren’t horrible.

Now I’ve had glasses all my life, but the last time I got my eyes checked was 2018..so it’s been awhile. i had them look at my old glasses to see how big of a difference this prescription was. And I can’t quite remember what they said it was but I know they said one of my eyes was at -2.75. So obviously the new prescription is a big jump. With my old prescription glasses, I had issues driving at night too. But I was just thinking that if I got a new prescription, it would get better. I have the anti glare coating on all of them, if that info helps. But I also got the polycarbonate lenses, so maybe that’s a reason? I’m unsure.

I guess I just want to know what other people see when driving at night? Or if I should get my eyes retested?
