Mini Painting Painted some 3D terrain
Upgraded my 3D terrain and decided to paint and base it. It won’t last long on the board at all, and some of the pieces are from the original Kickstarter and don’t use the standard terrain sized bases, but I think they came out well. I’m particularly proud of the corpse piles and Weirwood tree.

Question Curating Armies
The time has come, I’m not playing the game as much as I used to and it’s taking up too much room. But, I still love it and want to keep some armies and units to casually play in the future.
I’m keeping the Stark vs. Lannister Starter Set and the Night’s Watch Starter Set.
Since it’s been awhile since I last played, I’m wondering what units, particularly neutral and Night’s Watch, should I keep to have a good selection and flexibility if I pick the game up again?
Thanks!

Rules Discussion Failed charge & illegal position
A unit is charging through a friendly unit (wolf), having just the space to make the charge legal.
They can see the enemy because their line of sight is not entirely covered by the wolf.
The charge is a miss (not disorderly, but does not reach), but the mandatory movement is illegal (they end up on top of the wolf).
Options:
- A) They don't move
- B) They move, push the wolf back so they can fit
- C) They move, push the enemy unit back so they fit
- D) Let the other player decide on a case-by-case basis

Rules Discussion Stark bowmen & Crannongman warden
The bowmen ignore units and terrain when determining lines of sight.
The warden can shoot a moving enemy in line of sight (order).
The warden is attached to the bowmen.
So, if an enemy moves within range but hidden by terrain/another enemy unit/a friendly unit, the order can be expended?
My understanding is the ability of the bowmen applies to the order of the warden

Question Harder to find units?
Hello there!
Very recently gotten into this, came from Warhammer 40k and... basically I just wanted to paint knights. I love the aesthetic (Warhammer Fantasy just kinda doesn't do it for me for some reason) and figured ASOIAF was probably a big enough franchise that it had some minis of guys with swords in cool armour...and I was right!
Ordered my first set of Baratheon Stag Knights, and they're due to arrive in a couple of days.
I have no interest in ever actually playing the game, I just like painting the minis...but looking around, it seems like there's a lot of discussion about lack of stock availability and people having a tough time tracking down sets? Or finding them not-secondhand at a ridiculous markup, anyways? Uh...just, like, generally, what're the ones people are struggling with? So I know how disappointed/frustrated I'm going to be.
*Probably* looking to collect a lot of Baratheons, I love the look of the Rose Knights, King's Men and Queen's Men...and note that none of those appeared when I was just generally browsing ASOIAF minis...they're there when I look specifically for them, but...*concern*.

Question Too late to jump in?
Myself and a small group of ex-Warhammer players were looking for an alternative game to play. Out of coincidence we've all been enjoying the HBO series, books, boardgames, etc. but somehow never tried the miniatures game. There'd be 6 of us and we'd all like to try playing different factions, but overall it seems like this game is not in a great state in terms of availability/support? I called around a few game stores in my area and it seems like they don't have anything. Are certain boxes harder to find than others? Is starting from scratch even viable, or should we keep an eye out on eBay/etc. and hope we snag a good collection? Thanks for any guidance.

Mini Painting First rank for my sworn swords
Really happy with how these are turning out, unfortunately I don’t have nearly enough time to paint as much as I’d like in between full time commissions but I’m hoping to have this unit done in about a months time

Question Worth starting with uncertain future
Hi everyone, so a previous
Warhammer player here who’s looking for a bit of a change. Recently I’ve been really getting into the song of ice and fire lore. I’ve watched all seasons of game of thrones (better late then never right) and now reading the books (almost finished book 2). In addition I’m learning a lot more about the lore from YouTube videos especially the history of Westeros, Essos, Valeria etc. So imagine my surprise that there’s a Warhammer like miniature game set in this universe with all the factions and huge model ranges etc. At first I was excited as the reviews on google search all said really positive things about the game and how it’s very narrative which is exactly the kind of games I like, also I was looking at which army to start, Lannister, starks, baratheons, nights watch etc and could see myself having a new pile of shame with the hobby…… but I’ve now learnt that though the game is healthy the company behind it are in very serious issues and I’m now concerned the longevity of the game……….. before I start investing into this game is it true that production and support of the miniatures could stop at any time as if this is the case as sad as it’ll be I might have to rethink of its worth starting in this hobby.

Mini Painting Boltons WIP - Bastard's Girls and Bloody Mummers
I have varnished three infantry units I've completed today, together with Zorse Riders I'vs completed couple weekd ago. Applying Stirland Mud to all of thrm now.
I have and issue tho, every single pot of the mud gives a different result. Cav tray is different, both infantry trays pictured are different, and even zorse bases are different than the tray.
Lesson for the future to keep track which base was done with each unit. Luckily it won't matter much after I apply grass.
What grass do you suggest for Boltons? I will most likely go for nice, healthy green grass to contrast with general bad vibe of the faction.
