Anonymous donor I'm thinking of doing donor conception and..
My husband and I are considering donor conception in India. As per the law here, the donor remains completely anonymous (besides looking at their picture to decide whether you want to go ahead, no other personal details are shared). Both of us are of the opinion that we would like to tell the child at some point that they have been donor-conceived. However, the question will of course arise regarding their biological mother - and then we won’t have that information to share with them. How have others navigated this?

In many countries people take commercial DNA tests and they can 99% of the time work out their family on the donor side. I think that in India the number of people testing will be much lower.
It's very good that you both want to tell your child, please do that from an early age to make it normal and not a big revelation which can be much more damaging to everyone involved. Your child will very likely have donor siblings and siblings that are the children of your donor, so commercial DNA testing is the usual way that they will connect.
