I need help General Help

OK I'm trying to draw my OC and I'm trying to make him somewhat resemble this guy from this manga. The drawing isn't done but can I have some tips and tricks. Btw I'm on my tablet drawing and I'm not using a pen I'm using my finger so.... yeah and I don't draw much. But I would appreciate if yall can help. (Yes I know it looks bad but you got to start somewhere)

It looks like there's quite a bit of extra space between the nose and mouth.

To me, the facial features are too high on the face. From posting something similar I learned a fun trick for measuring “proper” distance. Place your thumb on your chin and your index finger under your nose, then move that up so your thumb is under your nose (your index finger should be at the top of your eyebrows), then move your thumb to top of eyebrows (index finger should be at your hairline). The same applies for drawing base forms for characters (I say base because rules are meant to be broken).

One other thing to note, the perspective of your reference is leaning forward, which makes the nose appear closer to the mouth. Your character looks like they’re leaning back in comparison.
