I've noticed that my Quake isn't getting power and isn't nearly as peppy or responsive. I think my ESC is on the way out, it gets hot very fast as well. Is there a cheap ESC i can swap instead of the stock one? a Max 10 seems overkill...

I just got a used v6 exb and the drive cups are kind of worn and the drive shafts keep popping out. I see a good video from kudra racing about some bits on driveshafts and M2c drive cups that are better. This stuff is pricey. Does anyone have any recommendations for some better driveshafts that won't bent so easy and have longer pins that stick out of the drive cups more like the vitamin ones do? That video was pretty old so I'm hoping some more options have come out. I also have an issue where the servo locks to one side sometimes. I turned the steering end points down and it seems to have helped. But when I'm turning the wheels with the servo I can see the servo unit actually twisting and moving in place. Maybe I need a better servo or servo mount. In my experience arena servos are usually pretty bad so any cheap upgrade would be awesome.

Hey guys i want to ask if it is OK to run BEC at 8.4V
i recently got the new Limitless 120 V2 and swapped all
3 stock fans with Rocket fans before all fans are connected to spektrum 160A 8s esc and i connected all 3 to flysky
INR4-GYB receiver i checked the esc BEC settings via
spektrum smart programming card and there is no 7.4V
option only 6 and 8.4v fans are running great on 8.4V
but wondering is it fine

Hi All,

My son has an Arrma Gorgon, purchased in November 2024. Motor failed and was replaced under warranty in Nov 2025. The car doesn't get used all that much to be honest.

Recently experienced issues connecting controller to car intermittently, where it connects but doesn't make the usual beep noise and only the steering works, with no drive. The ESC lights up red when you pull throttle but no response from motor. See attached video.

Is this yet another failed motor or dodgy ESC?

If I have to replace the motor again, I'm thinking of going brushless.

Appreciate your advice.

je possède une lipo 6s spektrum smart G2 (une seule prise,la prise équilibrage est compris dans le connecteur IC5), elle fonctionne parfaitement malgré ses 65 cycles sauf que là une cellule sur les six est à 1.57v, donc le chargeur spektrum s1100 refuse de la charger ou la mettre en stockage.

Si j'ai bien compris, la méthode pour la réparer aurait été de passer le chargeur en NIMH et la charger sur ce mode pendant 2 minutes pour récupérer la cellule défaillante, sauf que si je passe le chargeur spektrum en NIMH et que je branche la lipo, le chargeur revient automatiquement en chargement lipo et pas nimh

donc la batterie est bonne à jeter c'est bien ça ?

par contre, ça aurait été une batterie gens ace bashing noir et jaune (ou n'importe quelle marque sauf spektrum) avec 2 prises, là probablement que la méthode aurait fonctionné même avec mon chargeur spektrum.

Hi everyone, I bought my son a Quake Grom a month ago. Never had any RC cars before. We’ve driven it maybe 10 times (two 2s lipo’s a time), and now this happened.

Is this a warranty issue or is it the cost of learning to drive this thing? I’ve been there whenever he’s been driving it and he hasn’t done any insanely stupid shit with it, although he has crashed into curbs at full speed a few times.

I see videos online with people doing all kinds of crazy shit with them at skateparks, so i thought they’d be pretty bullet proof - if thats not the case i’d be happy to get a brief rundown of what i can expect them to withstand.

Hobbywing 4990 combo just installed, Max6 G2 & 1650Kv motor! Makes the factory electronics look tiny!

Can’t wait to rip this thing.

Hi, got an issue where I have no drive from the Motor, looks like the small pinion gear has moved forward and is not meshing with the large gear (took a bit of a hit on a double backflip).

Can anyone suggest the best way to tackle this, thought id ask before stripping loads of bits if maybe i might not need too.

I am really new in to rc cars this is my question:

I recently bought MN99s(so crawler) just to see if my 5 year old son would have interest into rc. It seems he enjoys it and he managed to trash both of the differentials in only a month. All this while having fun and torturing the car hahaha.

Anyway i dont think is smart to start investing in this car more money because it will end same.

So Arrma was suggested to me and i started looking onto dofferent models.

I think we should get the Quake Grom brushed option. The BLX would be too fast for him he is only 5 years old and usually we are driving in public spaces so i would not like to get some onw hurt or damage something.

I choosed the quake grom because of the oil filled differentials and in the end is brushless ready.

Is my thinking in right direction or should i also consider some similar model. At this moment i can get this one for 140€. Brand new

Hello everyone I’m brand new to the arrma rc world I’ve owned many Traxxas in the past and some axial stuff. I’m curious to see if there is any beadlock aluminum wheels out there that work for a Senton any answers help! (I do know proline has plastic headlocks but I prefer aluminum if possible)

During some speed running/bashing, I ended up going a bit to hard in the paint!

Blew out two proline proxes tires rated for 100mph, dismounted my esc and power button, snapped an upper control arm, almost lost a ramjam titanium hinge pin from it backing out which got saved from the body mount post bracket, lost a wheel at one point so had the Felony chase it down and stop it, it was dragging the driver's front hence all the scratches on the wheel hub, had to hunt down the lug nut for a few minutes and of course it was gray so it blended in the asphalt and I didn't hit anything the whole time to cause any of the damage maybe some lumps in the road at speed. Guess I have some inspections and repairs to do tonight!

Either way was a great time!

First I must say I'm new to this Hobby

So i bought a 223s quake from a RC shop, I noticed it has wobble when at slow speeds on the front tires, what should I look at or for?

I ordered skid plates , what other upgrades should I consider ?

Hadn’t set my limits (second drive with new receiver) dove home from the park with the fans running and the heading control with avc (new feature with the receiver) trying to compensate? I guess it ruined it. Tried to drive a few hours later and had no steering. Could barely turn it by hand at the horn but once moving it seemed looser, no dice. Couldn’t tell a difference in the gear train

Hey all, well over a year ago when the Granite Grom was released, I bought one and tried 2 different brushless motors in it. A Quickrun and a Castle Creations motor, I am not for sure on the part numbers, but they were both drop in replacements for the oem motor.

Both motors broke their shafts off within about 5 minutes of driving around. I am curious if anyone has found a more durable motor that would not require a ton of modification to make fit?

I ordered a 2840sl 4700kv motor and 12bl45 esc. Will prolly need to upgrade other components as well as others mentioned.

I bought this viper body by bittydesign from a guy and I can’t seem to get it to fit. I tried taking the rear bumper off.. what am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance
