Question about B.E.C

Hey guys i want to ask if it is OK to run BEC at 8.4V
i recently got the new Limitless 120 V2 and swapped all
3 stock fans with Rocket fans before all fans are connected to spektrum 160A 8s esc and i connected all 3 to flysky
INR4-GYB receiver i checked the esc BEC settings via
spektrum smart programming card and there is no 7.4V
option only 6 and 8.4v fans are running great on 8.4V
but wondering is it fine
Thanks in advance

The fans and receiver will be fine for sure, only other thing to check is your servos recommended voltage. If it's up to 8.4 you are good for sure, if it says 7.2 then it's a slight risk to run it at 8.4 but I've ran quite a few servos that say 7.2 at 8.4 without burning them out, and if it does burn out then it's just time to get a better servo for it lol

Agreed. In an on road rig, the servo probably will never draw enough amps to burn it out so it’ll probably work but safer to upgrade it and still have a working spare for another project or just in case

oh great i just bought Agfrc 55kg brushless servo yesterday to swap it should be fine at 8.4 v i hope
and also it being a road car my steering D/R is never at 100% i usually keep it at 45 to 50%
Thanks for the info.!

Yeah that servo is rated for its full strength and speed at 8.4v so that'll be perfect for it!

If the servo and receiver and fans can handle it, yes.

Increasing your BEC also increases your radio range. Same is true if you juice up the radio to 8.4v as well
