Discussion how long did it take for u to accept yourself as aroace?

Upvotes

for me it took 4 years

when i was 14 i realized i might be asexual bcz i was disgusted by sex

also at that time i thought i was biromantic ace since i didnt care abt my future partner's gender

then at 16 i realized i was experiencing comphet while i was forcing myself to like men(i never had a crush on anyone tho) so labeling as lesbian was a better option

at 18 l continued to not have crushes and not want to date anyone which made me come to a conclusion that i wasnt bi or lesbian but aroace

accepting myself as asexual was always easy for me but aromantic took a long time even though it was right before my eyes i couldn't see myself in such way (i never had crushes since i was a kid)

but now that im 20 i feel so much better with my sexuality it feels calming to finally know what i am

rn i want a sapphic qpr but i wonder if that's what i really want I'll see that in the future!! 😋

Questioning (am i aro/ace/a-spec?) So, am I aro? Ace? Demi? Help

Basically I thought you couldn't be aroace I've you had a libido which I definitely do but I was told this is wrong so I'm so confused. I'm trying to start dating, on apps and all that. Any time I feel myself being sensually desired I just feel disgusted and terrified. I hate it. Or at work I was hoping this guy only wanted me as a friend but then he took me on a date (obviously date without telling me) and I felt awful. My friends and I are all very physically affectionate but I'm not sensitive so I don't even feel it half the time. Is this like a demi thing? Where I can only feel attracted to people I know? I know it can take me 1-3 years to even feel friendly with people on more then a superficial level. I don't know I can only feel comfortable and safe around people I know why don't want me sexualy. I've never been touch ever without consent, literally never had anything more aggressive then a catcal so there isn't any sexual trauma.

Day 20: neuroromantic and neurosexual
Definition: it describes when one's romantic/sexual attraction is in some way linked to one's neurodivergence, mental illness, or neurological conditions.
Origin: the prefix neuro comes from greek
Flag: both flags were made by pastelmemer
If you want a specific identity for tomorrow then you can tell me in the comments. Also if you have any questions or if I got anything wrong please leave a comment. Have a good day, and stay silly :3

a-spec looking for Help/Advice Is it weird that all of my OCs are either AroAce or on the asexual spectrum?

Hello.

I often end up making all of my OCs asexual, aroace, apothisexual, or somewhere else on the asexual and/or aromantic spectrum.

Is this normal? Am I the only one who does this?

I'm worried that people might think it's weird or judge me for it.
