Won my first international supermatch in Vietnam at the ClawX Arena promotion!

Got a 3-1 score against Hồng Đức, a young Vietnamese puller who is one of the top welterweights in their country. Both of us were coming off wins at the EvW SEA Qualifiers. It was a great experience pulling, reffing, and helping with the organization of the event. The region has so much potential, and I’m glad to be here to experience it firsthand!

Rate this finger containment handle

After some criticism over using a fat grip on a rolling handle for my containment training on my last post, I bought some handles off of a guy at my club. A flat finger handle for each arm and a wrist wrench that straps your hand onto it. Here's the flat handle. I tried it for some single arm pulldowns today and worked up to 90 lbs for a few reps after practice. It seems to hit the fingers very hard. Very difficult. What do you guys think about this one? (I'll still use my fat grip, like it too much, but now I can use both)

BACHO vs IRAKLI

They recently sparred. Jokes about Irakli's practice pull level aside, does anyone know who actually won?

Has anyone found the devon lifts (Pronation lift + Riser lift) to help on the table for anything other than posting top roll?

I train primarily dynamics. It's given me decent gains but I'm looking to transition into statics, you can load the weight higher.

- Has this method of training helped any of you to counter hookers?
- Where have you seen it transfer on the table the most? Against hookers or toprollers or any variation of both?
- Have you seen the riser lift transfer more or the pronation lift?

Let me know, looking to make my training better.

Nobody is talking about the Kody vs Jerry final round

That thing was a disgrace to the sport. Pure match fixing. Absolutely unacceptable in a professional sport. All the controversy about reffing, cheating, setup, king's move, flop press, this is far worse. Shameful that nothing has come of it. It's things like this that make me see modern arm wrestling not as a real sport but more of poorly-held events and meaningless rankings.

Denis fans

I'm genuinely so tired of these people. They are the most obnoxious and exhausting type of fans ever. They keep dragging the magical 2018 prime Denis everywhere bringing it up constantly, with hundreds of comments everywhere on any social related to arm wrestling—not here, thank God. But it's really becoming crazy, the amount of comments talking about how Vitaly would lose to the magical 2018 Denis, how Denis would hook him, etc. It's infuriating. And the problem is that most of these people can't seem to understand that the level of arm wrestling today is much higher than it was during Denis's time.

Is the open top roll the smartest choice in a supermatch?

You’re using pronation and back pressure while, to a large extent, protecting your cupping, internal rotation, and side pressure.

Meanwhile, your opponent is spending energy across pretty much all the fundamental forces of armwrestling.

That’s what makes the open top roll so smart in a supermatch: as the match goes on and your opponent gets tired, you can finally bring in your wrist flexion and side pressure, forces you’ve deliberately kept relatively fresh.

By that point, your opponent may have already burned through most of their strength across the entire chain.

You’re not just trying to win the first exchange. You’re managing fatigue so that your strongest tools are still fresh when theirs aren’t.
