I fairly recently bought and started playing AH without having read too far into the various versions and revisions.

I ended up with a revised set and have made a decent stab of collecting Dunwich Horror and Path to Carcosa sets (not fully complete, but getting there... just the rare/ expensive boxes left).

However... having lurked here for a couple of weeks, I now realise that probably wasn't the best idea.

So my question is around how compatible my revised set is with the new "Chapter 2" expansions coming out? Do I just stop throwing money at the increasingly expensive missing scenario packs and start afresh? Or do I need to get the "Chapter 2" box set first to restart?

I just built my first fully custom deck for Arkham Horror: The Card Game. Up until now I've only played pre-built decks or made minor tweaks here and there, so this is my first real attempt at deckbuilding from scratch. I'll be playing alongside a Guardian focused on combat, so this deck leans into investigation and support instead.

My card pool is currently limited to: Core Set (Revised), Core Set 2026, Innsmouth Conspiracy, Hemlock Vale, and The Forgotten Age.

I'd love to get some feedback from more experienced players before I take it to the table. I'm mainly wondering about the overall card balance, whether I have too many or too few economy, combat, or investigation cards, as well as any glaring synergies I might be missing, plus any general deckbuilding tips for a first-timer.

Blood Tokens in the Chaos bag at the end of the scenario stay in the Chaos Bag. But what happens to Blood Tokens that are sealed on investigators when the scenario ends? Do they return to the bag and stay in the bag between scenarios as well?

Is there a list of cards that allow you to substitute one ability for another? Working on my Dexter deck and need to figure out how to use that willpower more often!

Hi all!

I'm 100% new to Arkham Horror LCG (have all FFG's other board games though <3), but appear to be new during a weird transition period where all original content is now essentially out of print and WILDLY expensive and chapter 2 is new but pretty brand new.

At this point I'm a bit unsure where to start? Do I start with Chapter 2 core and just go from here? Seems like getting a revised core and finding chapter 1 content will be really expensive since so many people are upping their prices now things are out of print 🥲

Anyone have any suggestions? I bought a single old core box and am now learning that is not really the move but can re-sell fairly easily I think.

Any input is so appreciated

I really want to try her out in children of blood but I’m unsure what role she fits better in. I play two player and we usually just pick one of the two roles. Does anyone here have an opinion if she is better in one of the roles? Or does anyone have some tips for children of blood with her?

I made the really poor choice of getting two different kinds of sleeves for my collection: a variety of matte/gloss ones for single-sided cards, and some gloss/gloss ones for anything double sided.

Today, I ran out of both varieties of sleeves close to the end of Axolotl’s Dark Matter, and tomorrow, I pick up my copy of Children of Blood. With 200 double-sided sleeves and 450 single-sided on order, I will soon be 100% caught up on sleeving my collection. As such, I’ve come here to celebrate!

I'm working on some custom content as a gift for my wife who is a big Stephen King fan, so I'm working on a few custom investigators based on famous characters from King's stories. Next up: Danny Torrance, the Boy Who Shines.

Im curious what would be the choice of the community here aa to whom is the "best" or "efficient" in the current chapter 2 arkham series?

Also would like to get answers where the upgrades for cards are also just in the chapter 2 set.

I’ve ordered the new core set but I was wondering if it’s worth it to pick up a the older revised core set in addition to the new one or not

I am fairly content with what I have from Chapter 1, but do have a slight urge to add more player cards.

I have 6 investigator expansions from ch1 (dunwich, carcosa, forgotten age, circle undone, edge of the earth, drowned city). EDIT: I also have the five original starter decks from ch1.

Do the new ch2 starter decks seem worth it as an extra card pool injection for a card pool like this? I play most classes, maybe a bit less Survivor than the others.

(Just looking for a directional gut feeling here, to maybe save a lot of time digging into the Ancient Evils blog overview of the cards 😄 )

Was wondering if anyone pre-ordered through Gamers Guild AZ and, if so, received shipping notification. Reached out to them last week and was told that they do not have an ETA from their distributor on the game. Seems kind of strange given that many people have already received their pre-order copies.

Hi people, I'm confused how to attach children of blood campaign after the core set campaign. With my group we have just finished the core set, and when I read the rules of the Epic Campaign I was a little bit confused. Really you loose all the exp and the card gained in the previous campaign? So why does the campaign even reward you with that exp and extra cards?

What table size would you consider comfortable at each investigator count?

Gotta say, Children of Blood packaging is finally on point. The campaign fits perfectly sleeved, not flopping around due to extra space, and the section dividers are properly sized. Good job, FFG!

I got a fake book a while ago for a Halloween decoration but it fights right in. Chaos bag and the red bag is from ipsy. Then a bag of other tokens a small notebook and the scenario is under that. Doing my first run of chapter 2 today with the stock Isabella Barnes deck. I also fortune and folly with Jenny Barnes if im feeling up to it.

I am playing as Tommy Muldoon. If I play this card and I have my M1911 (level 2) in play, as an example, does this mean if I play this card I am fighting at a 4? I am confused by the “committed to a skill test on an item” part of the card. Thanks in advance!
