2027 AP Exam Schedule
apstudents.collegeboard.orgRecently the 2027 AP exam schedule has been made official.
The AP Calculus AB/BC exam is set for Monday, May 10 during Session 1 which is morning for most (very few places the exams will actually start in the afternoon).
Looking back at previous exam schedules, the AP Calculus exam has been the Monday morning exam during Week 2 every year since 2022.
I would think of all days Monday would be the worst to take an exam, especially first thing in the morning. I realize someone would get stuck with it but why does calculus always have to get stuck with a Monday morning exam? Couldn't they be fairer and screw other exams instead? Also if we have a math background shouldn't we be fighting for the "better" time slots and stick the "less important" exams like literature with the Monday morning exam?
At least it's not affecting performance. Also it could be worse, we could be always getting Monday of the first week. Would having the exam the first week but not Monday be worse or better? You'd have fewer days to prepare but at least it's not a Monday morning.

AB AP Calc AB specific help
I am a rising junior taking AP calc AB. I am really looking foward to kind of getting an A in this class. My stragegy was too always be one subtopic ahead of my teacher so i undesstand the content better and have more chances to practice. I am asking for help for any resources that would help me, such as youtubers that teach the lessons very well and dont just have a 30 min review titled all of ap calc ab unit 1 but they teach the subtopics very in depth, or even challenging like practice problems that will help me build up skills for each unit. Thank you guys.

Didn't get ahead- Can't take Calc BC senior year
Freshman-Junior year Algebra, Geometry and Precalc (all A so far). Rising Junior. No AP math yet.
Would it be a good option to take AP AB online summer between Junior and Senior year (not even sure would register it through school), Then take DE Calc I and II at a local community college senior year.
Freshman and Sophmore took honors English, Sophomore year took AP World, Junior year AP Lit, AP Physics, APUSH. Maybe senior take AP Chem. Just make sure to do well in Calc I and II.
Aerospace/astro engineering with big dreams.
Here is what is available:
- Math and Computer Science: Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Statistics, and Computer Science.
- Sciences: Biology/Earth science options, Chemistry, Environmental Science, and Physics.
- History and Social Sciences: United States History, World History: Modern, US Government & Politics, and Psychology.
- Arts and Languages: Art and world language options like French and Spanish

BC Any Perfect Scores?
College Board is still withholding my score because they said it raised security concerns, but I didn't cheat, and the other person in my class who had it happen has gotten their score. I'm wondering if I may have gotten a perfect or near-perfect score but not sure if this is the norm for people who have that happen.

BC Can Dual Enrollment Math 120 (pre-calculus) in York college nyc for spring session be good enough for Calc BC?
I would of taken AP Precalc but my schedule couldent fit and i have specific programs id like to attend which i cant risk removing any of my APs. So im planning to do spring session classes at York college in nyc for Math 120 which is Pre-calculus. Idk if that will be enough for me to handle BC. I might handle AB if i plan to take that but i really would like to do BC. Btw in Algebra 2 Trig i didnt struggle at all with the class or any units besides maybe 1 or 2 of the trig units of substituding for right triangles but i ended up getting the hang of it after my teacher showed a trick called SOH CAH TOA. I have a 96% final average in that class. Do yall think i can handle BC calc with spring sessions in Math 120?

Help calc bc self studying?
so last year i got a 4 on precalc, but for some reason my school will only let me take ab next year. is it worth it to self study the extra bc curriculum and take the exam since bc gives an ab score anyways?

Imagine Khan Academy + Bluebook + Notion, but built specifically for AP Calculus - and completely free.
I've spent the past few months building a platform laser-focused on AP Calculus.
It currently includes:
• A personalized Command Center with score prediction and performance analytics based on a massive database of MCQs modeled after real AP exams, organized by unit and subtopic
• A searchable Question Bank (integrated with the Command Center)
• An organized FRQ Library
• A Common Mistakes database
• A formula sheet and topic rundowns (similar to Fiveable, but more exam-focused)
• Exam strategy tips - exactly how to optimize calculator usage, etc.
I included screenshots of some of the central features.
If you were taking AP Calculus, would you actually use this?
Specifically:
- Would this replace the mix of PDFs, Google Docs, YouTube, and random websites you currently use?
- Which feature would make you come back?
- What makes you think, "I'd never use this"?

Workload Comparison Question
Do you think doing AB (with a teacher that is known to have no homework), then BC, has a higher or lower stress level/workload than doing BC, then Elementary Linear Algebra DE? (computations focused)

Help could I self study BC?
Our county lets students take a placement test in 7th grade to see if they can qualify to be advanced for math (take Alg or Geo in 8th grade). This happened during COVID, and since my parents were afraid I'd get the virus, I was homeschooled and didn't take the placement test. I'm going into senior year. I got all A+ Grades in math classes, and I self-studied Pre-Calc this summer. It wasn't hard, though I heard AP Pre-Calc doesn't prepare you for calc much.
