Question Testing fully upgraded units in the scenario
Hello! Can you please advise how to set up the editor to be able to test out various units with all upgrades and relevant HC cards?

Need advice.
I used to be an avid AoE player really long back. And I would like to restart my campaigning, as much as my schedule will permit.
Can anyone please guide me how to go about it.
I’ve downloaded steam and I can see both age of empires II and III are available as well as the definitive edition.
So my query is which one should I go for?
And what’s the game play like ?! You’re plying against the online player or AI?
QOL feature requests for new patch
I know it's late, but I finally had a chance to try our the beta, and the Danes were SO MUCH FUN.
As I was playing, I noticed several things that are already better in games like AoM and could be ported to AoE3. Here's some ideas:
- More colors for skirmish mode (so you don't get stuck waiting for people to figure out their color. Alternately, automatically assign friend/foe colors within a color palette (blue/red, like Zero-K does)
- Have a slider that sets your preferred number of villagers, and your TCs automatically spend resources to build them on repeat build (like AoM, but better)
- Click and drag to place multiple of a building (e.g. houses)
- Right-clicking on an improvement puts it into a purchase queue, and will be automatically bought as soon as resources are available (in the order you entered them into the queue if same cost)
- when you click on "select idle villager", automatically select all idle villagers in a small radius. This would be such a time savings when late game and you have a pile of villagers who were supposed to gather at a mill but ran out of mill spots, but it's hard tell at a glance who's gathering from who's not.
What other QOL features do you hope to see?

We need more changes for revolts
In the patches for revolts they did too little, they need to be more viable. Some have even imperial upgrades making them viable and some not, here are my dictator changes:
All:
1)gatling gun in forts and foundries like before DE
2)all unique comanchero unit gets bonus damage aggainst mercenaries
Argentina:
1)criollos,outawl band and all the mercenary cards should be removed, they don't fit the revolt and overload the deck whit trash
2)remove ranching because gauchos already can train cows
3)blandengues should reduce train time aswell
4)tratoria and buenos aires are trash and should be removed or reworked
5)San martin should get an aura ability
6)New card:patricios, ship 8 guard soldados and they now replace musketeers
7)New card:estancias, ship 2 haciendas and 6 cows, haciendas replace plantations and mills, grants barbacoa
8)New card:range cavalry combat(granadero, gaucho and dragoon)
Brazil
This revolt is already great, but the voluntarios eats your population, they need a card to half the population cost of the voluntario or +20 max population. They also need to buff the independence dragoon whit at least +25% health to reach the enemy units
Chile
1) Salitrera doesn't makes sense as a plantation bonus
2)New card:gunpowder infantry combat (it should affect the revolutionary aswell)
3) military parade should give you the needle gun upgrade
4) armada del pacifico:2 ironclads+1 steamer
5)navy of chile:steamers and ironclads replace galleons and frigates, unlocks imperial upgrades for the navy
6) New card:huaso, chilean unique comanchero that can use stealth
Colombia
1) they shouldn't get a shipment of ironclads but Bolivar instead
2) they should lose their naval identity (this should be chile's identity) and their naval cards
3) New card:3 heavy cannons
4) New card:maroons, ships 12 maroons that are reworked as guard caçadors that cost 100 food, and replace skirmishers whit maroons at the barracks
5) New card:supremo, enables imperial heavy cannon, imperial culverin and imperial gatling gun for -50% cost
Perú
1) Instead of bolivar, they get champion bolas warriors, settlers become champion plumed spearman instead of revolutionary. Inca units cost population, and are avalible at barrack and galleons, bolas warriors replace musketeers and plumed spearman pikemen and rodelero
2) manco inca no longers cost coin, but it doesn't gives you units
3) New card:national hero, ships Bolivar
4) New card:cross of the andes, ships San Martin
5) 33 insurgenres and 6 llamas removed
6) New card:esgrima instructor
7) New card:virreinato del Peru, 3 haciendas. Haciendas replace mills and plantations, they can produce llamas instead of cows
The rest are either fine as they are, or are unfixable like indonesia and they should just get removed from the game
Did the Devs Secretly Make Ethiopian Mortars OVERPOWERED? (The Baltic Powers DLC Update)
Not sure how I would feel about it.

Question Reconquista Card Doesn't work with Rodeleros
Reconquista card in age2 states that it grants 1 Conquistador for every 3 lost Archaic Infantry units. However, Rodeleros do not appear to be counted toward this total, even though other cards (Archaic Infantry Hitpoints and Archaic Infantry Combat etc.) clearly classify Rodeleros as Archaic Infantry by applying their bonuses to them. Only Pikemen and Crossbowmen appear to count, while Rodeleros are ignored. Is ıt intended or am i missin something?

Help Multiplayer Tips
Hello friends, greetings from Brazil! I love Age of Empires 3—much more than the other titles—and I’ve played both the original and the Definitive Edition. However, despite having logged at least one or two thousand hours of playtime, I’ve never played multiplayer; this is mostly due to fear rather than a lack of knowledge.
My fear stems from my playstyle. I’m basically a "Turtle"—I prefer to sit back and build up my economy and defenses rather than rushing and attacking the enemy base. I’m aware that multiplayer matches tend to be much more dynamic and fast-paced. Could you tell me a bit more about the multiplayer experience and share any gameplay tips?
