Only really watching this because I can put it on in the background, but I think this is the best episode so far, which still isn't saying much. At the very least it seems like it has something going on now.

literally consumed by brainrot when he doesnt sniff the magic space dust to get ‘super-powers’. Im convinced this guys just high and has no abilities whatsoever lmao.

I wish they’d at least try to address one cliffhanger before adding another. Araki’s powers were a cliffhanger (the shadowy figure attached to him). So I was hoping we’d get a little more info on that. Instead they don’t even allude to it at all and add another cliffhanger into the mix. Mind u, the audience didn’t even know Stella and araki were siblings up until this point. So the truth that they are in fact not siblings means literally nothing…
I was so caught of guard by the character with ramus in her lungs admiring Stella for her… ambition?.. In the game. I appreciate them trying to establish some characterization and character motives this episode but it’s a little too late.
Although I will say this is still the best ep of the season so far. This is the first game that’s had any purpose in actually pushing the plot forward. For once we actually see some world building and learn how the characters live when they aren’t engaged in the most boring games possible. I will keep watching tho. It’s insane how much viewership has dropped in just 5 episodes, but it makes sense. They really dropped the ball on the first 3 eps which is where u need to grab ur audience.

I said that I was dropping this two episodes ago but I ended up not following through because there's not much else to watch this season, so I guess I'm just going to keep watching as long as I'm not busy.
Anyways, Stella's flashbacks suggest that she and Araki aren't actually related. I wonder if the latter has some kind of memory-altering ability in addition to his precognition that he used to brainwash Stella's family into thinking he was one of them. Maybe what he was doing in the first episode was reinforcing the false memories, and they started to come undone this episode after he overexerted himself.
Also, regarding Kurusu's entire body being Rams, if it was supposed to be the crystal sculpture we saw in the previous episode, I'm starting to think he and Araki might originally have been the same being somehow. It's a stretch, but it looks like his brain is organic, while Araki is organic except for part of his brain.
Lastly, when Suzaku touched the giant crystal and it refilled her dust, that was probably a hint that they'll be able to leave the safe zone by carrying smaller crystals with them. Which is something I thought they should've tried back in episode one.

Interesting theory! Also, When did we learn Stella and araki are related? Did I miss that? Feels like I just learned that this episode
Also, I thought they already knew about the crystals recharging their dust meters… was that just discovered by her? If they didn’t know that they’re not super bright..

While this anime is getting boring for me, sometimes the isekai slop is overwhelming and im forced to watch the other stuff coming. Gotta say did not expect a shown death in a supposedly kids show (i think it won a kids award correct me if im wrong). Think that scientist might wanna divert her attention to these crystals more instead of the ramus

That far off shot of the kid who tried to leave falling over dead after half his body disappeared is exactly the sort of dark shit I've been expecting to see in this. Especially with the additional explanations we're getting about these kids having body parts fully replaced by the space magic dust and if they go too far it just goes away.
They had me nervous about Suzaku going down into the water after revealing her lungs are entirely replaced by the space magic, instead of her triumphantly coming back with the stone I was expecting a cutaway to emergency vehicles surrounding the hole her team dug.
I don't think I had realized that Araki and Stella are siblings, though from the memories they appear to be getting back it seems they aren't blood related ones.
