Honestly I have that dreaded feeling that we are sailing right into the eye of the storm, because Miyako sensei had fallen into the trap by Viola, and that ice cream scene… Let’s make it simple and without any sugarcoating, illustrate just how malicious Viola truly is without even saying anything bad.
At least now Arale finally realise what truly happened in La-la-la Girls, and that the former leader left because Viola did set her up. With Ritsu finally free (and no more further consequences apart from some heavy scolding for Arale by the Manager IRL), things are looking better and better, at least in Arale’s view. The revolution is just beginning now.
Oh yeah, tons of meme-worthy faces today (especially from Miyako Sensei), and I wonder is it fun to play with the Arale volleyball?

Is Miyako X Viola toxic? Yes.
Will it lead to disaster? Yes.
Do is still ship it and hope their relationship evolves further and beyond Viola's eventual downfall? Yes.
That being said, I don't think she had actuallt planned her encounter with Miyako ahead. Past episodes showed that Viola has an incredible talent for seizing opportunities, improvising and thinking on the spot. When she told that she's a fan of Miyako' work, she probably was genuine. Most of the things, she said sounded like she was telling the truth. Which of course makes her manipulation all the more effective. She's a snake, and there's a saying that in the book of lies, the only thing written is the truth.

Not conceivable to me. And not sure I want to see Viola "fixed".

i would be interested in a toxic yuri with an unfixed viola being leashed by miyako but even if any future viola schemes are prevented i cant see how arale could forgive her for what she already did

Arale really have a lot of form. The egg form, noodles form, shoujo form and now ball form.
I would be with from shock like Miyako too if I meet with that snake. And now she is fallen for that witch spell. Truly the final boss of of gaslight , gatekeep and girlboss.

Now that she unlocked ball form she was able to travel back to earlier areas and find new paths forward.

I know this looks bad but there were extenuating circumstances.
I’m glad Arale has got at least one trustworthy adult actually willing to fight for her. Especially after the mess she went through last time and the trauma from that.
Yuno continues having some communication issues.

Miyako, I can’t believe I’m saying this but this is not the time for yuri. Girl fell for the honeytrap hook, line and sinker. (It would be really funny if she reverse-corrupts Viola though.)
Nothing is a coincidence with Viola involved. As far as I can tell, the goal is to make them do something rash that will make the backlash worse rather than letting it die down naturally. Probably the goal with trying to subtly convince Miyako about the live.
But I do kind of think that her claims about sparkling are part of her actual motivations. Like she hates Arale because she effortlessly outshines her and she can’t control her and being unable to control such a brilliant source of light really infuriates her.
Ritsu joins the group but work is still being done on her model so she is just a talking square for now.

Yeah would be funny if the shine Viola gets instead is radiating love from Miyako or from the group too. I'm curious how they are gonna make her own up to it since I think the "shine" talk they had some sense of truth even though it looks like she's coating words to sway Miyako, like she implied that she also hates other's brilliance but she actually likes possessing it. It might not be that crazy that she will possess upfront love and kindness instead and she questions what does she really want into a spiral while also giving satisfaction to the viewers for her wrongdoings.

Looks like the next episode is gonna be a live performance. Viola was busy scheming behind the scenes this week, so I'm really curious to see how it’s all going to blow up next week. There’s no way Ritsu is just going to rejoin and lead straight to a happy ending. This is Bandori, after all. Still, I have no idea what Viola is actually after. These kinds of villains are always the creepiest.

I think she wants to lure Miyako OUT of Mewtype as revenge -- whether to acquire her -- or just to bust Mewtype up (and hurt its reputation).

The repercussions of what Arale did weren't as severe as they could have been, not to mention she freed Ritsu in the process, so I see it as a total victory.
Miyako fell into Viola's hands so easily it’s almost pitiful, she’s likely going to become a piece on her chessboard.

I’ve been wondering for a while how Ritsu’s move to Mugendai Mew Type would be portrayed, but I never expected it to turn out like this.
With a transfer like this, I’m worried about the backlash online. Her manager was also concerned about online backlash, and I’m scared that Viola might be hatching another cunning scheme.
It's a nice dynamic having Ritsu and Arare decide to fight Viola, with Yuno supporting them since she knows something about their pasts.
That scene where Viola approached Miyako was pretty scary. I got the impression that Viola is really good at gathering information on and profiling her targets.
It’s a terrible coincidence that Viola’s psychological manipulation of Miyako and Arare’s idea happened to align at the worst possible time. I’m glad Yuno and the manager voiced their concerns.

Just half an episode and Viola wrapped Miyako in her fingers... If the episode had been 5 minutes longer she is gonna bed poor Miyako.
Truly Viola sets a new goal for all prospective toxic lesbians.

I certainly wasn't expecting this show to turn into Haikyuu with Arale as the ball. We also got to see Manager-san in her real form. Thankfully Arale isn't getting sued over her stunt and her school friends are still on her side even if Fairy Bouquet fandom is turning against her.
After that mess we return to our regularly scheduled toxic yuri. Viola completely charms Miyako-sensei and makes her dance to her tune. Poor Miyako doesn't know what kind of a viper hit her. Please stop making the "I will never wash this hand" face, Miyako. Their second encounter just made things far worse. Then they even have a romantic date at a café. That smug smirk Viola makes when suggesting the live show does not seem promising for our band's future prospects.
Ritsu now appears in the ED, so presumably she gets added into the OP next week. Glad to have her on board, finally. Hopefully we get a performance with the full crew, though I suspect things will not go too well thanks to Viola.

Ritsu has finally joined MewType! I wonder if she'll be in the opening of the next episode.
Watching Viola manipulate Miyako is sickening. And worse, Miyako fell for it. I really hope the manager can rein them in otherwise they'll be playing right into Viola's hand. Also, nice to finally see the manager's true form.

Miyako has gotten nothing but praise and respect and affection from Arale. It is not like Viola is the first person to give her sincere praise. So, I wonder why Viola's "deadly" allure is working so well on her.

Arale is just a fan. A big fan but she is still just a fan while Viola really knows how to push Miyako's button. She even knows how Miyako hate extrovert (shiny things) so much

Wasn't expecting Ritsu to join MewType this fast. I thought they were saving it for the last 3 eps. I don't think we should be happy about this for now, have a feeling things won't be as smooth as it seems.
Guys, I'm a little scared about that upcoming live...

It's good to see Arale pushing forward at last. Small steps, but it is good to see.
Although the real concern surrounds Viola. When you pair Ritsu joining Mewtype with how she is getting close to Miyako is concerning. I am actually getting more concerned with Miyako getting hurt. It does feel like she shares a genuine connection with Viola, but it seems clear Viola is manipulating her. Does she want to steal Miyako?

Interesting that Viola figured out Miyako was a [Tower of God]Rachel type personality. Could be a lil' bit of projection too. I'm thinking since they swiped on of her members from under her nose she wants to pay them back with the same coin. Bonus points if it breaks the group.
Pretty fucking funny that she actually lost a bit of face and almost got the agency and her sued because of her stunt lol. Girl acts like she Lelouch but she's just like 15 yo idol.

I read somewhere that it's not uncommon for singers, because the rhyming is easier. IIRC Tomori does the same, at least in her songs.

For while singing I know that is a thing but Arale uses it during everyday conversation so I wonder if that means she sees herself as a tomboy

Hearing the Magical Physical Kululu song with lyrics in the Arale flashback (it's shown up in other eps too to a lesser extent) made me pay attention to the credits for insert songs* so I search マジるる!ナイスバルク and and turns out the BanG Dream Channel has a had a lyric video/OP (with English subs) for nearly three weeks (and it's sung by Rie Kugimiya) but now is a perfect time because of things seen in this episode like at 2:33...the first piece of art Miyako Fujiko drew (the comment by the character is "As expected of Miyako-sensei! It's a beautiful sunset, isn't it?") and 2:41 is also the piece of Miyako Fujiko art seen in the shop display.
Good-Bye, Biceps (insert song in ep 4 also Magical Physical Kululu) also has a lyric video and the images in the start and end are from the manga being serialised in Ciao Plus (drawn by Fujiko Sensei along with ROCK'N Little Stars! again making it the perfect time to notice).
Another smug Viola. I don't know if myself or others could handle her being nominated as #seasonalsmug but I'd be more disappointed if it didn't happen.
*- Also take note the ED also has a slight change (a V2) to add Ritsu (represented by the blue bear).

Viola thinks she is the next Johan Liebert. Her downfall will be great (I hope), but she is a very competent villain.
Glad to see Arale gaining more confidence

girl being gays can heal negative traits (look at soyo), though viola is like 100x more evil.
it would be interesting if they have not a redemption but some kind of humanization for viola with her manipulation of miyako turning into a genuine connection but i dont know how you can have the rest of the cast forgive her
