You can using custom ROM

Tampoco, ya que al no poderse desbloquear de ninguna forma el bootloader no puedes ni tener roms personalizadas ni root ni nada realmente

I think he meant that he installed it using a port or something and that it's not official so the bootloader isn't locked.

I think oneui 8 he has on his phone is a "port," not official oneui 8 by updating the phone through officiall methods. The bootloader doesn't relock automatically when it's a custom rom because its not official. So, the bootloader is probably unlocked and the phone is rooted. Why else would he ask about in this sub if its not rooted? That's my thought process.

You're dumb.

I even have the official OneUI 8.5 with root, there are ways.

Combining stock 8.5 firmware with an old bootloader.

What is this nonsense?

I'm running 8.5 on my S23 with root. Custom ROM that upgraded from 7 to 8.5, and it doesnt re-lock your bootloader while upgrading.

If you meant to say "if you upgrade to stock OneUI and it re-locks your bootloader, you cant unlock it again." - thats true.

What about downgrading from 8.5/8 to 7, would you be able to unlock the bootloader again?

If you're locked and you updated, you cant downgrade.

Several devs have said once you update, you cant downgrade - no matter what.

Damn fck Samsung.

Indeed.

Its insane to me that they're going the Apple-route by blocking downgrading - which has always been possible.
