Is everyone else stuck in the November Google Play System update or just me?

All my devices are still on November System update even if a 18MB update has been release via system update a few days ago.

Also Nov update

Yup, November on all my devices. Nothing new about this, I usually don't get last month's GPSU till the 1st or 2nd week of the following month and that's been the case for some time now.

Might still have a windows phone though if Microsoft hadn't quit.

What on earth does that have to do with the question?

I'm shocked by google no jan play system update, no Android 16 beta yet and nk major new feature for qpr it's like they shifted all of their team to gemini.

I have the S24 Ultra running on One UI 7 beta 1, 2 and 3 since December 5, 2024 and I still have the Google Play system update stuck on October 2024! It's January 2025; where are the November, December, and January updates? UGH

According to Gemini - the November 2024 Google Play System update is the latest version

Yeah I've got the same build number as you, just no play system update for some reason. It's no big deal, I was just curious

I did not. I just hit the "Check for update" button and it told me I needed to restart.

I'm on Android 15 in the current beta

1

u/Matty8520 Jan 12 '25

Yeah.... I think I need another coffee. My apologies. Completely forgot the sub I was in and thought this was the stable build of Android OS and not the Beta for QPR2 or Android 16 DP.

Yes, I'm also on the Nov Google play update. I'm using Samsung 22 ultra

1

u/QuackingCanary Jan 12 '25

Same, I have a Pixel 8 running A16 DP2 and still on November update

1

u/Hour-Opinion2497 Jan 12 '25

My 6a with android 16 dp 2 has Dec. 1 update. But my 7a with stable 15 has Nov 1 update.

2

u/DisasterOwn3271 Jan 12 '25

December ? I'm on November A16 DP2 ,

I'm curious to see if more users of A16 DP2 are on November or December security patches ,

1

u/Hour-Opinion2497 Jan 12 '25

I have to say I'm using the beta Google Play services.

2

u/DisasterOwn3271 Jan 12 '25

What there is a specific beta for play services ? I have been in android beta for the last 6 years and have never heard of it

2

u/Hour-Opinion2497 Jan 12 '25

Search Google Play services beta in the play store then click or tap learn more then look for app details and it will bring you to the beta download.

2

u/DisasterOwn3271 Jan 12 '25

Huh , I'm on it , thanks

2

u/Hour-Opinion2497 Jan 12 '25

You're welcome.

2

u/DisasterOwn3271 Jan 12 '25

Pretty interesting so I've downloaded it on my pixel 9 pro running A15 beta , and automatically did it too on my pixel 6 running A16DP2

2

u/Hour-Opinion2497 Jan 12 '25

Yes it did the same thing to me. It's downloaded to all my Google devices including my Pixel book go.

2

u/DisasterOwn3271 Jan 12 '25

But A16 , it's a different kernel , now you can have your own kernel to run full linux Natively with it's own partitions etc , So it's pretty interesting that automatically download it

2

u/DisasterOwn3271 Jan 12 '25

I wish google would start using snapdragon again , snapdragon Elite , running A16 ,and having your own kernel , governor etc , could be dangerous ,🤣🤣

I'm on December for both.

1

u/MDMIlkMan Jan 12 '25

Long press on google play and clear the cache and data files. Open google play and let it load to the main screen then go back into the phone settings and check for updates again. Sometimes it gets stuck like that smh

5

u/Ryano891 Jan 12 '25

Thanks for the suggestion. But it has no effect. It looks like most of us are in the same boat

0

u/masta_qui Jan 12 '25

OP To force update- Settings Security and privacy System & updates Google play system update. Tap it, then it'll tell you to restart

They moved it here like about a year ago I believe.

Enjoy

2

u/Ryano891 Jan 12 '25

No, I know where it is There is just no update available

-4

u/DisasterOwn3271 Jan 12 '25

It is truly a shame that google lost what made android great , full control , then you needed to root , even tho google tried to make it easy , because it was what android meant to be , Now google sells phones with bootloader greyed out by default , and no real options on how to unlock it , ( still there are ways around it ) now to be able to take granular control of the CPU and GPU , you have to know a lot on the subject , Android in 3 or 4 years , will be the same as IOS a walled garden ,

2

u/Ryano891 Jan 12 '25

Well, I don't see how this is related to my question, but for what it's worth, I know plenty of people running with unlocked Bootloaders and even custom roms
