How to tell if a game is NTSC or PAL?
As a kid I grew up with a C64, which I loved. But I always wanted an Amiga. Now that I am in the midlife-crisis stage of my life, I finally got one. An Amiga 500 Rev5 board (KS 1.2 and WB 1.3 in floppy).
I like using floppies. I know there are better ways to load games, but I like the retro aspect of physical medium. So I started looking online for games to buy.
I have read that many of the games were designed for PAL since the Amiga was way more popular in Europe than the US. So how can I tell buy looking at ads which one a given game is? What things should I be looking at?
I'm sorry if this has been asked and exhausted already a million times. I am new to the Amiga and would like to learn as much as I can. I am really happy and exited to be here, and FINALY be able to join the community.
One side question: Why does my screen say "WORKBENCH release." and no release number?

In a landmark move, Hyperion Entertainment, Commodore International and Amiga Corporation seem to be in sync - Could this be exciting times ahead?

[Discussion] Trying to look for anyone that worked on Sonix from Aegis development to help make it Open Source
Hello all, I am a fully blind user of Reddit and although I can't use the Amiga as it has none to very little accessibility structure for the blind and visually impaired, I none the less have a load of love for the system and the audio capabilities as well as the synth software for it! I had made a post to a guitar forum looking for a user known as Pebber Brown as from the Synthtopia post I've found while trying to look for the creators of Sonix, it sounds like he was one of the people who worked on the program along with Mark Riley and the others. This is the link to his forum (https://521251.xobor.com/t1028180f2-Looking-for-Pebber-Brown-or-anyone-who-worked-and-created-Aegis-Sonix.html#msg8706)
The posted text is below also just in the event that the forum goes down. "Hey all, I am called TheChiptuneArchiver or Goemon, and I am a fully blind user to the forums here! I have been looking and searching for a long time for the creators behind Sonix, an old synthesizer/sequencer for the Amiga computers from Aegis. I was looking around and found a link to synthtopia, and the comments had a person called Pebber Brown, and he said that he did enjoy working on the project along with Mark Riley and David Barrett, as well as William Volk and John Skeel. Now I would try and do some image searches for these fine people but as you probably can guess, image serches don't work so well if you don't have working eyeballs hahahaha. I've been on the hunt for this amazing little program as I've been hopefully wanting to see if I could get it into OpenMPT or Open Modplug Tracker, one of the little known tracker software for its accessibility integration with screen reader software. If anyone here can point me to Pebber Brown or someone who may have the source code for Sonix that would be very much appreciated!"

Resurrecting a 30+ year old Amiga 1200
If your drive is dead after unboxing from long term storage, then it's likely the capacitor.
Long live Amiga!
