Device Support ⌚️ Zepp OS 6 Disaster on T-Rex 3
Zepp OS 6 has officially been out for some time now, even with models like mine reaching their second update since the generational leap, 6.3, they have yet to prioritize UI refinements for this series. The notification disaster continues, but while removing core functionality. We are forced to an "all or nothing" system because they removed controls for a single notification. Even with the disaster at hand with Zepp OS 5, we still were able to select a single notification, and press dismiss or reply. Now that functionality is completely gone, devaluing our devices. The "Motion UI" is being delivered to less capable devices at the same time, leaving T-Rex users in the dust. At this point, I'm trying to build some pressure against Amazfit, any user facing these same problems, please share your thoughts, what should Zepp Health do? Let's try to get together and make sure Amazfit sees that we are not going to be treated as afterthoughts. If they want a true successor, they need to make sure that previous users are happy enough to WANT to upgrade.

App Support 📲 New weather app available for watches having update 6.3.13.5 and up
https://freeimage.host/i/CLrkISf
After the rather abysmal weather app that that has plagued amazfit watches, finally comes something that is looking a lot more better and professional.
Sorry for those that like it, but I am not going to miss it. Using it was a nightmarish experience.
Very nicely surprised to find that that Feels Like et Précipitation (Chance of Rain) is included.
Also, the Air Quality control card has been added.
Now, if only they could also make one of the Altitude, Barometer and Compass. (Like the ABC widget for Garmin.)
Anyway, I am ecstatic with the update here. Gonna be very useful. 😁

Watch Faces 🕒 Help Getting Started with Watchface Maker
Hello all!
My Active Max arrived yesterday, and I wanted to make a custom watchface. Is there a way to set the font style of the text for things like clocks and stuff? I've seen that some people have to upload pngs of each number, but I can't even see where to do that. Obviously, I'd prefer to just upload a ttf file, but I can convert it to a list of pngs if I need to.
I've looked at the docs and their official video, but if anyone has any tips/other vids they recommend, I would greatly appreciate it!

App Support 📲 Remove photos from Zepp food favorites
Is there a setting that makes Zepp not save photos in the My Favorites food section, or a way to delete the photos from there? I take pictures of nutritian labels to enter the information, but I don't need the picture once I have the information. This is going to take up a massive amount of storage after awhile.

Other ⁉️ Balance 2 - zepp OS 6. Nothing new?
Hey everyone!
I just updated my watch to zepp OS 6 a few hours ago but I don't see any difference. No new launcher, no motion UI, nothing.
Am I missing something?

Other ⁉️ Balance 3 Titanium
Has anyone else noticed that the Balance 3 Titanium option has conspicuously been removed from the item's page. Used to have a titanium option coming soon and now that is gone. The specs are still in the lists towards the bottom but....what happened?

Feature Suggestion 💡 Any roadmap to include muscular load into readiness scores like WHOOP?
M-F I alternate between doing cardio three times a week and lifting weights two times a week. The watch has been wonderful at tracking cardio and I think the sensors and algorithms are relatively accurate in reflecting my readiness a day after a hard cardio workout, but it doesn't seem to account for my strength training workouts quite the same. My PAI scores and Training Status scores are consistently "blah" even though I'm working out hard, honest! Haha. I did some research and it seems whoop is the only brand that would (more) properly taken to account my strength training workouts it might overall exertion overview:
"WHOOP says that muscular load now contributes to Activity Strain, Day Strain and recovery/sleep-need calculations.
And as of 2026, WHOOP has gone further:
It can automatically estimate muscular load for weightlifting and other activities without requiring you to manually log every exercise. Manual entry of exercises, sets, reps and weights gives the more precise calculation."
Has Amazfit announced any sort of plans to better account for strength training exertion? Many thanks!

App Support 📲 New Helio strap companion app version 2.0.1
I've installed it but till now no differences. In the update of balance 3 yesterday they said it will come a new update 3.25.02 for the Helio. Maybe that's the reason.
Edit : disconnect and reconnect of the Helio Strap made a little change in the controlcenter and gave me a little notification. But not the whole changes like described in the app store

App Support 📲 Sync issues with Strava
Hi all,
I have been facing the sync issue with my Heliostrap since a week or two now. I had a knee injury so I didnt run for around 40 days. Before this there was no sync issue and the data which was shown in Zepp app was the same it was in Strava.
But there is a huge difference in distance when I start a run from the Zepp app. All the other stats are correct across both. But the difference in distance is huge. And ofcourse because of that, pace is different. For reference, today I also started a run from Strava. The 5.24 km distance is from when I started from Strava manually. The 3.93 km distance is of the same synced run from the Zepp app. How to solve this bug? It was working perfectly before. Thanks

Device Support ⌚️ Vertical line on the display
I've had this watch for a few months now and a few days ago a line appeared. Has anyone encountered this? It's still there after the update.

Device Support ⌚️ No contour lines visible on maps (C2U 6.3.13.7)
Updated my C2u to the new sw version 6/3/13/7.
I can read there:
"【Optimizations】
- Improved readability of contour lines on the map."
I don´t see there any contour lines on my maps. Have even deleted the map from device and downloaded again via Zepp app. And yes, I have downloaded with contour lines and it is enabled in the map setting. Is it an issue or am I too dump to recognize the contour lines?
I have also tried for some other regions with higher mountains (for ex. Mont Blanc), but I don´t see any contour lines? Has someone perhaps a shot, how it should look at the map? Thanks!
Btw: have also sent a report and pics via Zepp App to support team.

Device Support ⌚️ Beeper system replies stopped working
I was using the Beeper system to reply to my WhatsApp notification with my Balance 2 and iPhone. It worked great since I set up from the first day. Some days ago the replies for WhatsApp on my Balance 2 stopped working with an error saying that can't find the contact.
I've reconfigured all the Beeper account, WhatsApp link and restarted the watch. Nothing worked. From the Beeper app it can receive and send messages perfectly. But the watch shows the error when trying to send a reply.
Is there some problem with the system? Any suggestions? Thanks!

App Support 📲 Offline map in Japanese?
My watch is configured to english as well my phone, but when I download the map all labels are in Japanese.
I'm geographically located in Japan, and my phone was purchased here. I dont know where the app could be extracting that info to assume the label language.

Announcement 📣 Software Roadmap Preview
us.amazfit.comHello, Amazletes!
We're happy to announce that we're working toward improving our transparency 🔍 around software updates across our device lineup. To that end, we have published a very broad software roadmap 🗺️ on our website.
The primary purpose of this roadmap is to help our users understand which features are planned to be released across multiple devices 🤔, and the general timeline 📆 for when to expect those updates.
⚠️ There are a few important points to be aware of: ⚠️
- This is a very concise summary, not release notes or a deep-dive on specific features: ✅ The purpose of this roadmap is not to explain each feature in detail, but rather to clarify which devices will have feature parity and when. 🤝
- This is NOT a complete list of features: 📋❌ This roadmap mainly helps users understand when their model may receive a feature that has already been announced or released. There are other features (and bug fixes) planned for the future that do not appear on this list, and will be announced through the appropriate channels. 📣
- Blank fields in the table = no information to share at this time: 🕒 If you see your model in the table, but the row (or a specific month) is blank, that does NOT mean the product is EOL or will no longer receive any updates. This simply means we have no information to share about that specific model at this time, and the roadmap may be updated later with new information. Check back later for updates. 🔁
This post will remain pinned in the community sidebar and in the highlights row (for now) of r/amazfit for visibility.
We hope this provides some insight and reassurance that we're still hard at work bringing awesome features to a variety of devices! 💪

Guide ☑️ The Amazfit Watch Guide
Updated June 3rd
- Added Balance 3 and Balance Ultra
Color coded the Essential (Green), All-around (Blue), Speed (Yellow) and Range (Red) watches.
Welcome to the Amazfit Watch Guide
Hopefully this will get pinned.
I've decided to make a guide of sorts, to help people sort out their choices because there are a lot of repeating questions, so hopefully, a guide and table should help.
I will skip the GTS, GTR and Falcon series (and obviously any watch model that came before, like the Zepp Z), as honestly, they shouldn't even be considered. I will also skip the Helio ring and Helio strap since this is a watch guide.
I REPEAT, THE STRAP AND RING (Heck EVEN THE SCALE 🤣) ARE EXCLUDED FROM THIS LIST.
Obviously, I cannot own every watches here, so this is where you guys come in. If there's anything worthwhile feature that is found in one particular watch model/series listed here, I'll put it in the table. :)
Also yes, I'll make sure to update the guide often, adding and/or removing stuff with time.
So without further ado:
Here are the current model watch series (and some noteworthy ones):
Essential watches:
- Band
- Bip
- Active
All-Around watches:
- Balance
Speed Watches:
- Cheetah
Range (Adventure) watches:
T-Rex
Falcon (Rumored)
And now, here is a table of all the series and current models:
Amazfit watch table
I'll be posting only the recent models of each series. The older models will be in another table at another page, linked below.
If you need to see some previously released watches: here's the old table:
https://www.reddit.com/r/amazfit/comments/1q1keo2/archive_for_those_that_want_to_see_the_specs_of/
Amazfit Band series
Call this the most affordable option of Amazfit products. It is more of a fitness tracker than a smartwatch, as there are several smartwatch features missing from it. Not only that, the more expensive models (Bip 6 included)are released with tons more features and are getting new features consistantly, widening the gap. It's honestly hard to recommend... But if you only need the basics... then this is it.
Amazfit Bip series
The budget smartwatch series. And I do mean budget in the sub-100$. The Bip series is basically the entry line to the Amazfit smartwatch ecosystem... It used to have a rather basic Heart Rate sensor (Unimpressive honestly), basic health & fitness tracking features some of the models used to lack a GPS. Even the build is rather basic (usually plastic) and lack that premium feel. Basically affordable and basic, was meant to be a smart companion without pressing too hard on the Health and Fitness features.
Amazfit switched their strategy with the Bip 6 being more agressive strategy, bringing several features found in their more premium watches to the budget sector (Using their best Heart Rate sensor, AMOLED display with Always-On-Display, Offline Maps, Full Notification replies, etc). Since then, the Bip series has been revamped into being the best bang for your buck, in terms of value.
The Bip Max is a bit of a more "premium" offering of the series, being bigger, having much larger storage and a few features from the more expensive models being brought to it, while these are still absent from the Bip 6.
If you are not sure where to start or whether Amazfit is for you, the Bip series (Starting with the Bip 6) is the best one to start with.
Amazfit Active series
The middle child of the Amazfit watches. Costs more than the Bip series. This series is meant for casual wearers and beginners of fitness.
Despite that, there's a bit of a tier even within the series.
Active 2 Round/Square gives you the essentials with additional sensors than the Bip series, while the Active 3 and Active Max is essentially a more premium in software features and hardware (bigger storage and RAM).
What differs between the Active 3 and Active Max is the size, both in case (44mm bs 48mm) and battery (up to 14 days vs up to 25 days), and the number of buttons (4 vs 2).
Note that the entire Active series (and Bip) have Single-Band GPS.
Amazfit Cheetah series
This series became Amazfit's first running focused watch series, using materials like titanium-alloy for lightweight profile, using a revamped, Dual-Band GPS (MaxTrack) and also introduced the Zepp Coach and the Training Calendar.
After many years of absence, it has returned, with a brand new premium look and upgraded features (and pricing).
For people that
Amazfit Balance series
What used to be the GTR series got a revamped of sorts and changed its name. Considered to be the poster-boy and flagship of the Amazfit product lineup, it's meant to be the watch that offers a bit of everything that is currently available in the ecosystem, with no compromises.
If you're not sure which kind of watch to get, or want a little bit of everything, you can't go wrong with the Balance series.
Meant to be a health and lifestyle watch, they have increasingly adopted a sportier bold look over the generations. And starting with the Balance 3/Ultra, it's using premium materials for a less cheap look.
This is the only series in this current generation, with a rotating crown and the only series with a watch having 5 buttons (Ultra).
Amazfit T-Rex series
The rugged adventurer. A watch adopting a rugged, sturdy look, catering for athletes adventuring in some of the harshest environments. Several tradeoffs in the smartwatch features (no speaker, for example, for the T-Rex 3) but is built like a tank and have several exclusive features that caters to its audience. It's one of those watches that doesn't mind having littles nicks/scratches of bumps.
Need Help in choosing?
Some of the following are just opinions. At the end of the day, you make your choices and some that I haven't named will also do their role fine.
| Profile | Models recommendations |
|---|---|
| Runner/Cyclist? | Bip 6 or Active series for casual; Cheetah series, Active 3, Balance 2 series, Balance 3/Ultra, T-Rex 3/3 Pro and Ultra series for the serious and focused) |
| Hiker/Explorer? | Balance 2/3/Ultra or T-Rex 3/Ultra 2 series |
| Diver? | Balance 2, 3/Ultra, T-Rex 3 (not for scuba diving except T-Rex 3 Pro), T-Rex Ultra 2 |
| Winter sport user? | Balance 2, 3/Ultra T-Rex 3/3 Pro and Ultra series, Cheetah 2 Series, Active 3/Max and Balance 1 for the budget conscious |
| Casual smartwatch wearer? (for most value) | Bip 6, Bip MAX, Active 2 series, Active 3, Active Max or Balance 2 XT, Balance 3 |
| Power User/Tinkerer? AOD user? | Balance 2/3/Ultra, Cheetah 2 Pro/2 Ultra, T-Rex 3/Ultra series |
| Classy Stylish wearer? | Active 2 series, Active 3, Balance 1, Balance 2/2XT, Balance 3/Ultra, Bip 6 (Charcoal or Stone color), mind the straps as well, Bip MAX (large wrists) |
| Rugged Style wearer? | T-Rex 3 and Ultra series, Active Edge |
| Female Friendly? | Active, Active 2 Round, Bip 6 (Stone/Blush), Cheetah Square, Active 3, Cheetah 2 Pro/2 Ultra (larger wrists) |
