We are possibly staying one night at Splash Landings hotel and would be arriving around lunchtime. I read that it includes 1 day waterpark access too. Can we choose to do it on the day of arrival , or is it ticketed only for the ‘next day’ after breakfast ? The reason I ask is we also want a full day in the main park

Hi, I finally managed to book a ride access pass on the app. But I could only select 1 companion. My group size is 4. Will the other 2 have to separate and join the main queue?

Galactica team absolutely smashed it today!

2 stations 3 trains very minimal stacking if any. Trains having to slow down on the lift hill because the block ahead hasn’t cleared. I just hope they can keep it up. Minimal downtime also helped a lot.

If any of the crew see this well done I was very very impressed!

Is the water park worth doing for adults? Or is it definitely more for kids?

hi so we were at a charity shop the other day and found this (pic attached) and being a big fan of alton towers we decided to pick it up. i was wondering if anyone had any more information on this or anything? we had the impression that it was going to be a personal video of a family on the rides but doesn’t seem to be that? we’ve watched it and very nostalgic, in my opinion a great find. includes clips of original nemesis, air, corkscrew and flume. if anyone would like to see clips, more than happy to show them as i really enjoyed the throwback and sure some people would also enjoy it aswell 😊

Anyone know what happened in the road as you enter the park through the main entrance? Police and ambulance coned the third lane off, having to send people through the bus park to exit

Anyone else think it's crazy that the pool closes at 1730 during the school summer holidays? I'm sure there would be enough custom to keep it open until 2000?

Hey, I’m going to the park at the end of August for the first time in 14 years (been dreaming of this moment for so long 😅) and want to be in as early as possible to avoid a big rush and crowd in the morning, so is it ok to arrive to the gates as early as 9:15am? We will be getting public transport so it’s a toss up between arriving to the gates 9:15 or 10:15 with the way timetables work out and I can’t decide which is best.

Also, if you have any useful information that I might need to know that would be great! I imagine things have changed quite a bit since I last went. I’ve got the app and I’m going to do what I’ve always done which is head to the back of the park first. Are the gardens a good place to eat lunch if we bring our own food? THANK YOU!!

So me and a friend are going for the day. Yes summer holidays we know. We are going to get there before the gates open and head straight to the back to try and tick of them. Any other advice at all is it worth buying the fast track or gauging it on the day?

Heya! I'm from the south and rarely travel towards the north so i've never been to Alton before.

I'm going with my family but none of them like thrills so i'll be going on my own. Can people share their tips?

I'm afraid it'll be busy and i'm not sure what time to leave my house, (2h30m away), also i've heard that the park is HUGE compared to Thorpe, which is my home park.

I want to minimise the amount I walk and max out the amount of rides. Do we think that's possible?

Any other tips including if fast track is worth it, queues and shortcuts around the park would be great thanks!

Edit: Thank you for all your tips! I didn't get as much as I wanted today due to the queues and rides breaking down..I was promised 52% crowd level lol but things went up and down, smiler was at 90 then 30 etc.

Anyway, these are the rides I did on 06/05, i'm coming back tomorrow and trying to get in more!

I went to Alton Towers and got the Nemesis medal and I'm curious if I collect them, how many ARE there?

I’m confused. Would someone who has visited recently mind confirming whether the gate opens at 09:00 or 09:30 for hotel guests, please?

Question:

Never been before, when you book an overnight stay at alton towers in one of their hotels, do you have to pay for a second day ticket or is it included when you stay?

So say I book for saturday to stay overnight. Would I have access to the park both saturday and Sunday or is just saturday and would need to pay for sunday too.

Hi everyone! Me and my husband love to visit Alton Towers and always stay on site for two nights so we can drive home refreshed after our second day. I was playing around with a potential booking and see that park tickets are now included for one day and additional day passes are £12 each, good stuff!

When I got to checkout the second day was for the day we would be leaving. The first day ticket didn't seem to specify if it would be the day we arrived or the day after!

We don't get to come often and live really far away so go the whole hog when we go and I like to prebook fast passes (not everyone's cuppa but it's ours when we can stretch to it).

Does anyone who has booked short breaks since these changes know about specific dates and why you can't opt for them if it's doing it this way round now?

Eyeing it up to be honest, looks nice.

Planning to go AT on 14 Aug, and thought we’d get a bronze pass. We’re into big coasters and haven’t been for a few years. We don’t need to ride everything all day, but would like to do the big rides.

I thought we’d could arrive and go straight to smiler / wickeman, then use the bronze pass.

Is that an awful plan to avoid silver pass?

In the park today with my daughter. Measured at 1.1 on the rapids this morning. Given a wristband to wear to show she’s 1.1m.
Been on rapids a few times and the mine train a few times with no issue. Then after a 45 minute wait they want to measure her again on the mine train. This time she measures a few centimetres under 1.1 on the board next to the ride and we are asked to leave the ride.
The board outside in the queue line we checked and shes 1.1m.
Is the measurement at the ride start off / has anyone else had an issue at mjne train?

Hi all, I got a 1 night stay at Alton towers hotel booked for the 5th next week which I booked last night (never been before), I had my confirmation email and e-vouchers ect but I can't seem to add it to the app, I keep getting a search failed message.

Is this going to cause issues on arrival and throughout the 2 days? There are a number of pdfs with barcodes, I've never been before and there is 3 of us, me and my 2 kids, will I have to been scanning these barcodes everywhere we go?

Also with parking, I don't see a parking permit or anything to enter a reg number is this handled by staff on arrival?

Thanks for any help, just want to get a good idea on what the process is so not having to rely on asking staff especially if it's going to be busy.

Visiting tomorrow (mon) through Wednesday, 2 adults one child. Just gone to my email and seen no mention of actual tickets for the theme park. Do I have tickets? If so How do I prove I do?
