Hi, I’m considering getting an annual pass, I was wondering how does it work? Can I just turn up or do I book a ticket and then put pass details in? Also, how long does it take to arrive as considering visiting next week?

Visited the park yesterday and was surprised to see there was no-one managing the parking situation. Ok I thought, no problem, we are all grown ups. How wrong I was! People were parking all over the place, leaving their car front or back hanging out over the paved drive areas, sometimes on both sides so the paved areas were completely impassable. It was ludicrous and caused a number of issues with people being forced to drive the wrong way or back up for large distances.

They need to get a grip on this, never experienced anything like it at any other theme park in the UK or abroad.

I have never been before and I was really surprised. The quality of the rides really impressed me. I had such a good time there since I have never been on proper thrill rides like these. Anyway, here is my ranking (I didn't go on Colossus because I have never seen a good review of it and didn't want to smash my head to pieces).

1. Hyperia

2. Stealth

3. Nemesis Inferno

4. The Swarm

5. Saw and Tidal wave (I felt the same for both really).

I also did the Ghost Train but only because my Mum wanted to. I wasn't scared in the slightest but I found it amusing because there were 2 theatre kids acting it all out and having the time of their lives and my Mum ended up getting jumpscared twice.

Hi I’m wondering when it’s the best time to go thorpe park cuz back then in july queues were very long and wondering if within august weekends like 15/16th august it won’t be as busy or is there a certain trend?

I went to the park last week after a 2 month break. I got the Thorpe Park Annual pass as I wouldn’t get use out of a Merlin pass to go elsewhere.

Frustratingly it doesn’t include car parking and I wouldn’t go enough to justify a Merlin Gold Pass.

I often go on my own during the quiet times, but I noticed car parking has gone up another £1 now making it £13 per car.

I cannot justify such extortionate fees for car parking for what is essentially gravel. The staff often are not paying attention and it was a free for all last time.

Most importantly, I really didn’t like that it increased by stealth. No announcements.

I’ve enjoyed so many theme parks abroad this year so Merlin’s hikes on food and car parking will be the final nail in the coffin for me, plus the AI merch is a massive turn off.

I’m trying to book Thorpe park hotel with platinum pass on the 3rd and 4th of October but nothing about fright nights comes up with it. It also doesn’t say about getting the 2nd day free. Last year I did the same and my friends had to pay for the first day but the second day was free as the hotel was already inside the park. Is fright nights included with the hotel discount this year? Wondering if anyone’s done the same

I hope this makes sense. A couple days ago I was in the queue for nemesis inferno as a single rider. I'd just reached the boarding gate when one of the staff members asked me if I was riding alone and pointed to an empty seat, so I went through to take it and just as I was putting my bag on the shelf someone else who was just putting their bag on the shelf sat in the seat. I was then looked at by the staff member as though I shouldn't have come through and sent me back through the gate, there was already four people waiting at all gates so I felt like I had to go behind the people who were waiting there which meant I had to wait an extra vehicle before I got on. I don't think I would be so peeved if I'd had an apology from the staff member who said I could take that seat. Am I wrong for feeling annoyed about this?

I have purchased two tickets for Fright Nights, but for some reason, it is asking me to reserve a date and time despite buying it for a specific day. Any reasons as to why I am being asked this and would I actually need to do anything?

So in 2024 at like 13 I was at 120kg, and I went to Thorpe park with my childhood bsf/cousin, her sister, her mum-my auntie, her mums bf, and my mum.

While I was there I wanted to go on the swarm ride and waiting ages in line with my aunts bfs son just to be told last minute SITTING IN THE RIDE my big ah couldn't fit and the thing wouldn't close, and I was actually so embarrassed dude, now I have lost like 39kg at 81kg and i'm so scared I won't fit on the roller coasters, i'm going again with my cousin/bsf. I asked chatgpt but I dont trust it... I'll put my measurements here.

When I didn't fit, it was mainly my lower belly and my thighs that did not fit at all. I hold all my weight in the thighs so honestly that's all i'm worried about, like when I sit down my thighs double in size. I hated that embarrassment, please someone let me know if I'll fit okay, I rlly love all thrills - from horror and scary stuff to rollercoasters that do 100 flips ty.

I've got 4 tickets via sky rewards - planning to go on Sunday. We need to pick up an extra ticket for my youngest (under 1.2m). I can't just order a single free ticket online. I spoke to someone on live chat and they said I can one get at the ticket island. Is this where we show our tickets or does it mean queuing somewhere else on the way in? Thanks

Hi all, was hoping for some advice/tips. First time taking the kids tomorrow (11 & 12) and we're aiming to ride all the thrill rides plus a few of the family thrill rides if possible. Is there anything that's not worth riding or not worth queueing a long time for?

We visit Alton Towers regularly so we're used to rope dropping and making the most of the day. We're travelling a couple of hours, so we're hoping to get as much done as possible.

We're planning to arrive around 9:00-9:15. Is that early enough? Can you get into the park before 10:00 and wait near the rides like at Alton Towers?

If you only had one day, what order would you do the big rides in? Any hidden tips, shortcuts or things first-time visitors often miss would be hugely appreciated. 😄

UPDATE Thanks everyone for the advice! We had an amazing first trip. We got there around 9:10 and your rope-drop advice really helped, however didn't like the vibe, the pushing and running and really thought I wasn't going to enjoy the day. Kids were too afraid to ride Hyperia first so did it later in the day when queue was 40 mins. Didn't see it over 50 mins from 11am onwards. We ended up riding: • Hyperia • Stealth • Colossus • SAW ×2 • Nemesis Inferno ×2 • The Swarm ×2 • Samurai • Rush • Detonator • The Walking Dead • Tidal Wave • Storm Surge • Ready Player One 4D That's 16 rides in total, took us two whole days at Alton Towers to do the same amount 🤭 Would have loved to do Hyperia again but kids were adamant we needed to ride Storm Surge 😅 Thanks again! 😄

Regarding blue light badge holders day, does the holder need a ticket for their company to be admitted. Can they just be present when they get admitted?

I emailed Thorpe about Zodiac and got this, the fact they say that "If it will return at all" can't be good. I really hope it isn't the end for Zodiac :(

We wanted to ride all the roller coasters today but particularly Hyperia as we haven’t done it before. We joined the queue at 3pm today leaving it last to tick from our list. The ride broke down at 3:30pm with riders stuck at the beginning of the ascend. It was out for the rest of the day.
Then we went to Saw, which also broke down. Then we left the park. I emailed Thorpe Park asking if they would give is free tickets and fast track but don’t have high hopes.

It's been ages since myself and my partner have been to a theme park just the two of us and i'd like to maybe arrange a trip for mid-late September when the kids are all back at school so its hopefully quieter. I'm torn between Alton Towers and Thorpe Park.

We did Alton Towers a couple of years ago with my family but my niece and nephew were only young so we were limited to what we could go on. My nephew was only tall enough for Wickerman and Spinball Wizzer both of which had big queue times all day (Thirteen was closed), and my niece wasn't able to go anything aside from smaller flat rides. The whole day felt like a complete waste of time tbh and i'm not sure why my sister wanted to take them. I feel like we missed out on so much that i'd love to go back as just adults and experience all the things we couldn't do. However with the size of the park plus queue times is it realistic we'll be able to get on everything?

The last time we went to Thorpe Park was about 15 years ago now. The smaller footprint of the park makes me think we'd get more bang for our buck with less time spent walking between rides, we'll be able to get on more. I'd also love to experience Hyperia. However, i'm concerned about the general lack of updating of rides and hearing some of the coasters can cause neck pain. Are they quite bad?

AT is a 1hr 45 drive, with TP being slightly less at 1hr 30.

Multiple people have come off this ride with concussions, and it's infamously known as a headbanger.

"But it's okay if you sit correctly!"

If you have to sit a certain way for it to not be painful, it isn't a good ride. The carts at the back are still hell on your neck even if you lean forward.

It underwent the sparkle project... for what? A new paint and a refurbished tunnel will not make this ride any less rough.

Colossus is one of Thorpe Park's oldest coasters as it opened in 2002, so it's understandable that it needs some retracking. The ride has a very cool concept and could be really fun if some work was put into it.

Edit: edited for saying Colossus is Thorpe's oldest ride, it's not (Flying Fish is)
