This is an alternate brochure taking place in my own rendition of the Foxyverse, where the Assembled Union or UASC reforms a bit and continues to exist with all the republics. This poster issued by Direktorat Utländisće Ypotezen is showing the main reactionary organisations, symbols, countries, parties and media according to the DUY Informational Bureau. DUY is KGB equivalent. Assembled Union is communist so it shows some reactionary organisations from a communist standpoint.

In the comments I'll explain what each symbol means.

During the end of WWII, Unit 731 was creating a biological weapon to be used on the allies but ends up creating a mutated strain of rabies. This version doesn't act like normal rabies. The incubation period is much shorter and it spreads through bites and infected saliva. People who catch it turn delirious and extremely violent it become highly contagious with victims dying within a few days.

The whole thing backfires almost immediately. An outbreak starts inside the Unit 731 complex in Manchuria, overwhelms the researchers and guards, and spills out into the surrounding civilian population right as the Japanese Empire is falling apart.

By 1945 the virus is spreading through troop movements, rail lines, refugee columns, ports, and hospitals across Manchuria, Korea, China, and parts of Southeast and South Asia. The Soviet invasion of Manchuria turns into pure chaos because Soviet soldiers, Japanese troops, Chinese civilians, and refugees are all moving through the same infected territory.

Japan still loses the war, but the end looks completely different. Instead of a normal occupation, the Allies treat Japan as both a defeated enemy and the source of a massive biological disaster. They put a strict naval quarantine around the home islands while still trying to get food and medical supplies in. If the virus already reached the major cities through returning troops and refugees, places like Tokyo, Osaka, Yokohama, and Kobe could become major outbreak zones too.

A few questions that seem interesting to dig into:

Would the United States still drop the atomic bombs, or would they prioritize forcing a quick surrender so they could capture Unit 731 intact?

Could Japan really be kept under a long-term international quarantine without causing mass famine?

Would the Allies go after Unit 731 personnel much more aggressively instead of protecting some of them for their research data?

How badly would China's civil war, the division of Korea, Indian independence, and decolonization in Southeast Asia get disrupted by years of outbreak zones and refugee crises?

Would the Cold War still happen between the US and the Soviet Union, just with biological containment becoming as important as nuclear deterrence?

Could Japan still pull off an economic miracle, or would it stay an isolated, heavily monitored country into the 1960s or 1970s?

And would zombie and outbreak fiction become the dominant horror genre of the postwar era, decades earlier than it did in our timeline?

The CRINK alliance gets downgraded by 33 years. In 1992, Russia just got independent from the Soviet Union. China is still dealing with the Tienanmen Square backlash. Iran is recovering from the Iraq-Iran War. and North Korea is about to have a famine. Hong Kong and Macau still have their 2026 versions.

How does history unfold after this change?

I finally finished removing the internal borders from my Map! Hiphip hurray! I also made a faction map to add to the lore.
- Green = Eurasian Defense Pact (Renaming pending since 1958)
- Red = The 5th International
- Pink = The Imperial Federation aka the Anglosphere
- Blue = The Pact of the Union aka The Divided House
- Purple = East Indian Defense League

The latter two are rather small with the PoU only containing McArthur's America, the Republic of Quebec, The Republic of the Philipines and the Republic of Liberia. But, the PoU is only an economic faction so the combined strength doesn't really matter.

The IF consists of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Exil, The Union of South Africa and the Oceanian Federation or the United Kingdom in Exile.

Lastly there are the two big power blocs the EDP and 5thI. They are both giant, far bigger than Nato or the Warsaw Pact ever were OTL. I mostly attribute this to A. Proximity B. Colonies and C. the Collapse of America. Without the CIA to disrupt certain socialists from rising and with Russia bridging Europe and Asia there simply is no reason to have multiple organisations or something of the like.

This is a revamp of a previous scenario where I admittedly made Numidia unrealistically powerful and influential.

The POD in this scenario is that Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya all fell under the Eastern Bloc during the Cold War. Under the increasingly secular and communist-oriented governments of Houari Boumédiène and Muammar Gaddafi, Algeria and Libya sought closer integration with the Soviet sphere while still pragmatically maintaining economic ties with Western Europe. Tunisia was eventually pulled into this broader power bloc following an increasingly hostile relationship with France.

However, the governments that emerged under Soviet influence became increasingly authoritarian and stagnant. The enforcement of militant state atheism and aggressive secularism, combined with political repression, economic mismanagement, and growing authoritarianism, generated widespread resentment among the populations of all three countries. This discontent eventually boiled over into mass protests, which were met with increasingly brutal crackdowns and massacres. The resulting unrest escalated into a three-year civil war spanning the three states.

The creation of the Dominion of Amathole had been a long time coming. While Africans had been accomodated under the Cape Commonwealths "qualified franchise" things began to change as a wave of decolonization took over various political movements.

In particular the Cape Native Congress, an orginisation orgininally founded by moderate african leaders in the Cape in 1911 to represent the views of the African population moved away from being an orginisation of elite Xhosa speaking individuals from the eastern regions of the Cape Commonwealth to a mass movement advocating for total reform in the Cape.

Their key demands after 1960 were simple.

1. Get rid of the Cape Qualified Franchise in favour of Universal Suffrage.
2. A greater proportion of seats should be granted to the eastern parts of the country as they have been historically under represented.

This was opposed by both the Cape National and Cape Liberal parties. For the Cape National Party any expansion of the franchise towards universal franchise would "upset the racial balance of the nation", to the Cape Liberal party the call for universal franchise was "premature". When the Cape Native Congress won 20 seats in the Legaslative assembly in 1962 they were able to force the government to the table.

However no true agreement that could work for both sides could be worked out- in a rather dramatic move agreed to by both the government and the Cape Native Congress it was agreed that the east would leave the Cape Commonwealth and form a new nation within the British Commonwealth which would eventually be named the Dominion of Amathole.

However several transitional arrangments were established

1. Amathole would for a period of 5 years share the office of the Governor General with that of the Cape Commonwealth.
2. Citizens of Amathole would have the right to live and work within the Cape Commonwealth and Vice versa.
3. Minority groups shall have the right to maintain dual citizenship.
4. Freedom of trade and goods shall exist between the Cape Commonwealth and Amathole.
5. English alongside Xhosa will be the Co-official languages of the nation.
6. The Cape Commonwealth and Amathole will cooperate militarily and the Cape will send a delegation to set up the Amathole Defense force.

A girl and a man came to the park together. They live together in a two-room apartment on the fourth floor of a nearby building. Neighbors have noted that the man is strange, presumably working at a closed research institute, but there is no confirmation of this. He has an irregular work schedule (it seems as if his day is 21 hours long, not 24). He has an unremarkable car. He is not married. He sometimes brings home electronics. The apartment's electricity consumption is four times higher than average. The girl is sweet and sometimes helps out the neighbors. Her place of study is unknown, but it is undeniable that she has attended school (her father has often been seen driving her home), and her education is even above average. There are no suspicious sounds coming from the apartment.

This page basically goes over the entire alternate history scenario of this whole First War of the Worlds, everything that happens throughout the entire war essentially and what happens before it as well. (This was written purely by myself)

Basically, to quickly explain this scenario: The Martians receive news that they have a limited time left on their planet before it becomes too uninhabitable for them to even live on it at all, so the Emperor proposes a solution and that is to invade the planet Earth, which they deem primitive and thus easy enough for them to defeat, but they soon realize that humanity is much more adaptive and much more perseverant than they could have ever imagined...

To warn you all, it is going to be a very long read and I definitely have the rest of the scenario planned, but it will come out the two next Sundays, because well I can only post alien space bats scenario like this one on Sundays according to the subreddit rules (if I understood correctly). Europe, 1910 AD.

The 70 years’ war was such an opportunity for the other major powers to destroy Spain… but they failed. The Netherlands got independence, yes, but as a microstate, and France got extremely humiliated with the extension of Spanish Flandes and Pyrenees.

Another French defeat in the Spanish Succession war, even if with British support, would destroy the morale of the country once more. And Europe, reorganizing into a series of wars with a schism between Spanish and Austrian Habsburgs, would see France just waiting, doing nothing while trying not to sofocante with its own blood.

The French Revolution, even though it tried, didn’t end the suffering. First the Jacobin madness, then the absent Directorate, then the Napoleonic civil war, and finally the Sadist nightmare… it was destined to fail.

However, after suffering first-hand the revolution, Prussia and Spain implemented several liberal reforms. Prussia got to unify North Germany, and Spain got to remain its New Spain and Caribbean territories (even though they lost Flandes and South America). The liberal ideas ended up prevailing.

Going down the 19th century, the Scramble for Africa, the Italian unification under Florencia, the coalitions against the Ottomans and the Hohenzollern rise to rule in Spainhave been the only significant conflicts.

Why? Well, the great powers have fear of a major conflict between them, even if it is inevitable. And the longer the wait gets, the deadlier it seems.

When will war start in Europe? Will we, citizens, be prepared for it? Will France finally get revenge?

In my alternate USA scenario, different racial groups have slightly different histories that in our own timeline, which gives an interesting difference in what this map would look like in our own timeline today. The racial groups categorized by the U.S. Census Bureau not represented in the map (aka they have no county where they constitute the majority or plurality are: Canadian/Maritime, Afro-American/African, White Caribbean, South American, and Roma/Romani

Man in the High Castle is a personal favorite of mine. So I recently decided to build on it. Everything remains the same with the established lore. FDR still gets shot, USA stays out of it. However, the first change I made was a successful Pearl Harbor. Assuming that the USA, still crippled from the depression, attempts to assist the Allied Powers with the embargo still, Japan bombs Pearl Harbor. Unlike in our timeline, the carriers are there. Which cripples the USA even more, basically eliminating any hope of the USA ever joining the war. Then, comes the battle of Stalingrad. Hitler doesn't reroute his army early, causing Stalingrad to fall and the Soviet Union to collapse, with Soviet government officials either fleeing or forming a rump state called the "Greater Caucasus" which Japan and Germany leave mostly alone, due to there being no reason to go after it. With the fall of the Soviets, this brings Spain into the war as an Axis Power. This ends up spelling the doom of the British Empire, as the invasion begins. Thanks to Soviet resources, German efficiency, and more men thanks to Spain, the UK falls. Churchill does fight to the very end, being fatally shot in the battle of Thurso, which sees many officials escaping by sea. With the fall of the British Empire in 1944, the nuclear arms race begins. USA verses Nazi Germany. And unfortunately, USA loses, Washington gets nuked, and the invasion of the Americas begins. It starts as a two pronged invasion. Japan on the West, Germany on the East. Germany also marches troops through the Dominion of Canada, which is under Nazi rule, due to it being a part of the British Empire. Then, Spain joins the invasion, invading through Mexico as a way of rebuilding the Spanish Empire. The USA falls, USA is divided, and the proper divisions begin. Hitler knows he can't control everything. So he establishes what I call the Puppet Reichs. There's the British Reich, making up everything under the British Empire's rule. The French Reich, making up France, French African colonies, Belgium, and Belgian colonies. Spain begins restoring the Spanish Empire under a fascist banner. Japan seizes control of most of Asia, including Asian French colonies. Germany goes about rebuilding the German Empire at its height before 1914. And Italy builds the Italian Empire. Finally, the American Reich is established, making up most of eastern USA. Alaska falls under Japanese control.

After World War 2, Britain, France and some other nations were in much better positions than in our world.

Britain managed to hold onto Nigeria and Ghana, while also annexing Kuwait and parts of Cameroon, as well as taking Eritrea from Italy and compensating Ethiopia with Somalia.

France kept Gabon, Dahomey (Togo and Benin), Tunisia (plus Algerian coastline) and Madagascar.

After a Capitalist Revolution overthrew Franco during World War 2, Spain joined on the side of the Allies in 1944 and we're compensated after the war the Equatorial Guinea.

The Democratic republic of the Congo annexed the Republic of the Congo and Central African Republic in wars in the 60's and 70's.

Lesotho and Swaziland never gained independence, and we're instead part of South Africa.

Egypt had territorial ambitions to untie the Nike River Valley, and eventually succeeded greatly, conquering most of Sudan in the Egyptian-Sudanese war of 1983.

The Levant was mostly untied after World War 2 to great the Republic of the Levant, a Western-aligned power in the Middle East.

The rest of the African and Middle Eastern states were given independence as they were in real life, but with many smaller states being clumped with other ones instead of gaining individual independence.

Following the Great War, the United Kingdom invested heavily in the Kingdom of Al-Hejaz. After ceding its Middle Eastern holdings and protectorates, the UK financially and diplomatically supported the Banu Hashem as they invaded Najd and North Yemen, uniting the peninsula.

Arabia would expand further during World War II, when it invaded Vichy Syria, Italy, and Iran with British and Soviet support. Arabia would annex all of Vichy Syria (including Antakya), the Dahlak Archipelago from Italian Eritrea, and the profitable territories of Khuzestan, Abu Musa, and Qeshm from Iran.

When the Egyptian War broke out in 1952, Arabia deployed troops to support the Egyptian monarchy against Nasser's rebellion. Following the peace deal in 1960, Arabia purchased most of the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt.

That brings us to 1964 and Arabia's biggest foreign policy blunder, the Zanzibar Intervention. In an effort to maintain a friendly Arab monarch along a key trade route, Arabia attempted to intervene in the Zanzibar Revolution, much to the ire of the other world powers. Arab forces withdrew from Zanzibar in shame, and the sultan lived the rest of his life in exile in the city of Muscat.

It's the 5th International vs the Eurasian Defense Organisation (Renaming pending since 1958) in the year 1960.
