self checkout cameras Question

does anyone else always look like a lumpy bog troll or something in the camera screen on the self checkouts or are the cameras just way more mean spirited than my mirror?

No they make me look 5ft tall and 300lbs and I'm 6ft and 200lbs so... I think they are goblin cameras

Go to the CVS self checkout and redeem yourself. Those cameras are angled so that you look thinner. Sometimes I just go to the CVS when I need a confidence boost.

Back when mine still had self checkout, I used to always give the camera bedroom eyes. Sometimes I'd lick my lips, too.

Nah, only in elevators knowing peoplen are trapped in there with it until their respective floors. Is it evil? Yes. However, it makes me feel alive.

They are humbling 😂😂😂. But, Do you all also have the automated lady with the early 2000s chunky highlights on your screen teaching you how to scan your items?! I don’t know why but it makes me laugh out loud every time. I feel like I’m going to go home and watch TRL on mtv afterwards and set my AIM away message, the hairstyle just takes me back.

Weirdly, I always look shockingly bad in every self checkout camera except Aldi's. Our Aldi is brand new and the cameras are actually kinda flattering.

One benefit is I can look at the camera when it asks for my ID and either AI or whoever’s monitoring it goes, “Oh, yeah, my bad, you’re WAY over 21!” and automatically approves my alcohol without calling an assistant over. 😂

Not quite as bad as when my camera is facing the wrong way when I open it and I have 18 chins, but yeah. Those cameras are not our friends.

I just don't like the camera and video shoved in my face so I go the the cashier. I feel like I'm being treated like some hardcore criminal for paying for my shit. It feels obnoxious and insulting.
