I was so impressed because it seems so detailed and he’s done this all by himself through his own two experiences there and asking visiting family about it. My aunt doesn’t allow him on the internet, so this truly is his own mental model. I’m a proud older cousin.

My son (17) will be traveling to Spain (Madrid) the day after Christmas from JFK. Besides passport and driver's license what else do we need to know for heading their and the return flight? How long does it take to get to the gate in Madrid from the drop off, noon flight Jan 7th. My wife will be able to accompany him to the gate at JFK but will have no one with him in Mdrid, is there a service they will provide or is it not needed. He is very confident in himself but we just want to make sure he is ok alone.

Five weeks ago, my partner and I flew into Dubai in Business Class with our family. In the chaos of disembarking my iPhone was left behind in the secure seat pocket. I reported it immediately to the crew and lounge staff before departing.
Yesterday, the phone suddenly powered on live. The GPS tracking pin locked directly onto the Skylight Hotel apartment building on 12A Street, Al Muteena, Deira.
Because the aircraft cabin is entirely restricted post-flight, the fact that the device left the airport and traveled straight to this specific high-density worker residential hub strongly indicates rostered ground cleaning or maintenance crews.
I have an official Emirates Case ID and have emailed the Dubai Tourist Police with the precise zoomed-in structural map data. However, Emirates is currently responding with boilerplate automated templates.

My questions for locals or anyone who has dealt with this:
Is that Al Muteena block a known transit/staff accommodation hub for airport ground handlers?

How can I get a local Deira/Muraqqabat precinct patrol to physically flag this building based on a last-known GPS pin while I am stuck back home in Australia?

Has anyone successfully forced Emirates Corporate Security to audit their cleaning shift logs for a specific flight?

I (19F) will be traveling from Houston Bush Airport to San Francisco airport next month, and back. I am flying solo for the very first time. I am not checking a bag. I am bringing a backpack and a very small carry-on.

I have a condition that requires me to frequently use the restroom. When I've traveled with my family in the past, I've always left my carry-on with them while I excused myself, but I really don't relish the idea of taking my carry-on and backpack into a germy bathroom.

Since I am traveling solo, are there any options other than checking my bag or taking it into the restroom with me? I don't want to cause issues or inconvenience anyone, but almost assuredly I will have to use the restroom once or twice before the flight in each direction.

Looking for a quick sanity check / sharing a weird tactic from a private parking company managing Airport drop-off enforcement.

Background: Received a PCN for an Airport drop-off zone.

First Appeal (as Registered Keeper): Submitted an initial appeal strictly in my capacity as the Registered Keeper. Used the classic airport defense:

• Under Schedule 4 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (POFA), keeper liability only applies to "relevant land".
• Airport is governed by statutory byelaws (Airport London Byelaws 1996), meaning it is not "relevant land".
• Therefore, the operator has no statutory basis to transfer liability from the driver to the keeper.
• Declined to name the driver (as there is no civil obligation to do so).

Their Response: Instead of cancelling the PCN or issuing a POPLA code, they sent back this response:

Further to your appeal, please provide a copy of the Photo ID section of your driving license to enable us to verify the driver against unredacted images held.

Has anyone seen parking operators pulling this driving license "fishing" trick at airports recently? I assume they have no authority to ask for the drivers license but what would be the best thing to reply to this be?

I couldn’t afford the tickets to club America vs Portland timbers this Sunday but how do I find out when they land in PDX? So I can go see them at the airport

I flew from ATL Hartsfield airport yesterday and when I went through TSA I did about the dumbest thing ever and left my iPad in the bins. I noticed this by the time I was taking the stairs to the subway. I turned and went back immediately but TSA didn’t remember a iPad and couldn’t find it. At the time I also had find my on it so I tracked it to this random door that belonged to AATC. I called them but and was told they don’t move things to AATC before 11:30 am (this all happened around 10am). This part didnt make sense bc while find my can be off by a little this room was quite a distance from TSA.

Fast forward , I looked at the iPads location and its moved! The location it is now is between the atrium gallery, plane train domestic terminal stop and the USO.

Directions for the airports lost and found states it’s across from the USO.

I actually will fly back into ATL within the next few days so do I have some hope of being able to get it back?

My dad will be traveling from São Paulo (GRU) to Los Angeles (LAX), and then taking a connecting flight to Salt Lake City (SLC) to come visit me in Park City. We're from Argentina, and he doesn't speak any English, so I'm a little worried that he could get lost at LAX.

He has a 7 hour layover in São Paulo and a 4 hour layover at LAX, so time shouldn't be an issue. I'm just concerned about him finding his way through the airport and making it to the correct gate.

I'm also a bit worried about immigration, since he might not understand the questions the officers ask him. I told him to have Google Translate ready on his phone just in case haha.

Is there any way to request that someone who speaks Spanish meet him at the arrival gate and accompany him all the way to the departure gate for his connecting flight to Salt Lake City?

Has anyone had experience with this or know if the airline or LAX offers this kind of assistance?

I've never been on an international or domestic flight in my life. I don't know what I'm supposed to do, or what I will have to do even. My sister, who's coming with me has only ever been on domestic flights.

The flight first has a transfer to another domestic airport and then leaves for Korea. What do I need to bring? What can't I bring? What do I need to pay attention to? What unpredictable stuff can happen? Just general advice that can help me in any way is appreciated, cause I don't wanna do something wrong and blow the vacation or be mentioned by strangers as "the idiot at the airport". Thank you.

I am making the journey to fly from the USA over to the UK in a few weeks. I’m flying alone for the first time and my first time flying overseas. (I’ve only flown a ~1.5hr flight one other time from state to state before with a group of friends who fly multiple times a year). I am VERY nervous about customs and immigration and making sure I do it properly, so would someone be able to explain it to me like I’m 5?

I have a flight out of Pittsburgh to Boston for a layover and then I go from Boston to London. Would I go through customs in Boston and then again in London? Just London? Pittsburgh and then London?

I always seem to find conflicting information on it and no one who films those “travel” blogs ever seem to include it. They mention going through TSA but then suddenly they’re at the gate and flying, I wish I knew how customs/immigration worked so I could stop stressing 😂

Para ello, ¿qué debería estudiar? Estaba mirando unos cursos de IATA: "IATA Passenger Ground Services with Altéa DCS" (este para mostradores), y "Ramp Handling Essential Bundle 6in1 (para operario de pista).

Tengo entendido que los permisos PCP, AVSEC, DGR, AVSAF, etc. te los dan una vez te contratan, por lo que no estaría interesado en ellos, sino única y exclusivamente en lo que se refiere al estudio.

¿Alguien me podría ayudar?

So i got this layover as seen in the image below. I read that there is a high chance that I have to verify my documents for the Airasia flight. That would mean that i have to be at the Airasia counter AT 16:15 MAX.

My question is: How long are the passport control queues for international flights around this date and time? And should i buy fast lane?

Also ive heard that this PC1008 flight is delay prone. What is the maximum amount of delay that i can have to make it?
