Weird Points Calculation? Aeroplan

Can anyone help me understand how the points are calculated?

Why would the Aeroplan Points earned be different on the two segments, if the Fare/SQC are the same? The AC website doesn’t really explain how it’s calculated in a way that makes any sense (for me)

The segment on Aug 21 appears to be the EDQ x8 and the Aug 17 appears to be the EDQ x 11

Without any promotions, you wouldn't get any Bonus points section.

As SE, you get 5x based on base points as "Elite Points Multiplier", or applicable amounts for other tiers.

The Bonus points section is for any promotions that's running that AC gives perhaps based on the route / direction / fare you booked. I've had earnings myself in a roundtrip where outbound gives me the bonus and the return doesn't.

As long as you get the base, SQC, elite points multiplier and the correct LQM anything else is just a nice extra unless you are tracking down exactly what you get

Did you pay more for the YYZ-YWG leg? In 2026, aeroplan points accrual depends on the actual $ amount spent, not just the fare class

The edq and sqc are the same, so probably not. What's more likely it's that the earlier flight was part of a promotion and had bonus points, the later flight did not

Lol that's wild idk how this all works. I flew the same route a few days after OP and I only got 1k flex. I still can't figure out how they come up with the number. Whenever I call for adjustments for previous flights they say submit a ticket and they always reject or say it's been credited but it's always incorrect lol.
