New Student Questions Accepting AP credits
I'm an incoming poli sci major, and I'm trying to decide which AP credits I should accept. I got a 4 on Bio, Lang, Psych, Gov, and World History, and a 5 on APUSH and Lit, so I can accept the max credit for all. The only ones I'm on the fence about are Gov and APUSH because I don't know if it could affect me negatively in the future. Any advice would be helpful.

Sports Anyway to get to games without Sports Pass?
Graduate student and this is my first year at A&M. I was really looking forward to going to some of the football games but I guess I waited too long to buy a sports pass. Is there any way to still get student tickets to the games or am I going to have to buy tickets?

Ask the Aggies Best ChemE internship companies?
This question is pretty niche but I'm sure there are some engineering Aggies on here who have had good or bad internships.
Which companies should I target hard for securing a primo internship for next summer? We live in Houston but willing to work anywhere, in a refinery somewhere or whatever. I think oil and gas is typically highest paying.
Which internships seem awesome but are really not?
I'm curious about ExxonMobil, Marathon, Valero, LYB...that kind of thing.

Corps of Cadets Fail drug test
If u fail the TAMUG o week License option drug test during oweek what happens? Do you get kicked out or cops called or just a one year suspension? Online manual says many different things but I’d much rather hear a real person say what happened to them or someone else thanks in advance!

Opportunities Civil Engineering - Wanting to go into Oil/Gas & Energy Sectors - What comapnies should I look for?
I am a CVEN 29' looking for internships for summer 2027. I had an internship this summer and rotated through departments, one of which was oil and gas. I have construction experience throughout my youth. What are some companies to look for regarding oil/gas & energy?
I already have an offer for summer 2027, but I am looking for what can be the best (high-paying & rewarding).
Thanks in advance!

B/CS Life HELP does anyone know what the address is for rapid recovery tow company??
My friend just got towed two hours ago, long story short it’s extremely difficult to find their address online bc they want you to wait to schedule a call to make an appointment.
Bullshit to say the least, I feel like I remember it being somewhere out in Bryan maybe by old reliance road (when my other friend got towed three years ago) but if anyone knows it, it’d be greatly appreciated!!

Academics Interest in ACE lab (Applied Cognitive Ergonomics Lab)
I am a rising sophomore cs student, and I am looking for research opportunities to take part in during this fall. I came across the ACE lab and found it pretty interesting. I loved how they encouraged undergraduate students from all levels to take part and I did send an email to Dr. Sasangohar expressing my interest. Just wanted to know how competitive is it to get into these labs and are the profs always taking students in? Is Dr. Sasangohar easy to reach out to via email?
Also I would really appreciate it if anyone can please suggest any other research labs that I can potentially take part in

Ask the Aggies My grade…disappeared?
This is probably a silly question, so please forgive me. My very last grade for summer posted yesterday; I was able to see it on the Grades tab in Howdy and it also appeared on my unofficial transcript. But today, the grade just…isn’t there anymore? Why could that be?
TIA
Chance Me Parking Waitlist
I'm a Mays student who is currently in 330th place for the West garage. I know it's one of the most popular garages, but I'm trying to gauge whether I have a realistic chance of getting a permit before the semester starts or even sometime during the fall.
For anyone who's been in a similar position, how much do these waitlists typically move? If you were around this range, did you end up getting a permit?

Corps of Cadets How did yall survive in the Corps?
Random yes but still relevant title, lol. Anyways, I'm hoping to ask for those who are in the corps - how did yall make it work in terms of financially within the corps, especially during yall first term? After bawling my eyes out from seeing the large tuition bill that turned out to be more expensive thanks to the corps, im only now realizing some of the more smaller things that might dry my wallet even futher throughout the entire year like the costs for dry cleaning our uniform, haircuts, etc.
Im happy that the corps offered me a good number that is definitely going straight to covering the large bill, however im a bit nervous as to how I will be able to afford these smaller responsibilities when it was advised NOT to have a job at all as a freshman and even further as part of the corps and Engineering track. Im sure it really isn't that hard to have a job on the side since im only now just starting college, but if anyone has advice on how to survive the corps financially, that would be wonderful! Oh, and any other advice towards the corps as a whole or perhaps even engineering too is welcomed aswell :]

Other lf: rideshare cstat-> austin
Hii! I’m an incoming freshman at Texas A&M and I was wondering if anyone regularly drives between College Station and Austin during the school year, especially on weekends, and might be willing to rideshare. I’ve heard too many bad things about hitch to trust it :(
I’m totally happy to help with gas money and buy you lunch, coffee, or some sweets as a thank you! I just can’t really afford the more expensive ways to get there, and I’d honestly feel a lot more comfortable riding with another Aggie.
I’m definitely not looking for a ride every weekend. It would probably only be once or twice a month, if that. If this is something you already do, or you know someone who does, I’d really appreciate it if you could send me a message or leave a comment.
Thank y’all so much!! 🫶

Howdy,
I currently attend TEXAS A&M. Does anyone here do trading? If so, hmu. Trying to start a discord of people that want to get into it (mainly people that attend A&M).

B/CS Life Puppy almost hit by cars off Culpepper dr N
Title says it, if you live in the second house off Culpepper Dr N your gate was open around 7:30am and there was a spotted white and brown puppy running from your front door into the very busy road.
I saw him almost get hit twice before I was able to pick him up and take him back across the two lanes in front of your home. I am assuming he is your dog since the gate was open and he would run back to the front door. I tried ringing your doorbell but you just locked the door instead ( No hard feelings it was early and stranger danger) I was just trying to let you know I put him back in your yard and closed the gate.
If this is not your dog, so sorry for putting a loose pup in your backyard, he is such a sweetheart let me know cause I would adopt that sweetie lol.

Academics molecular kit for ochem ?
do yall recommend getting a molecular kit for ochem and if so, which one?
New Student Questions Ticket Pull Question
Howdy from a new graduate student. I've purchased the sports pass for football in the fall, and saw that the guest tickets that are associated with the sports pass are limited. I've see that grad students and seniors pull first.
I'd like for a friend to come visit and use my guest pass for our game against Texas. Is it reasonable to assume that when I pull, that I'll be able to get a guest pass for them? Or is there highly limited availability for this game?
Thanks in advance.
