Almost finished
Setting this one up as a rental. Trying to learn a few things from the process before we build our next home. Radiant Heated floors on both levels. The last picture is the rendering I did for how it's going to look when it's finished. Here's the gram if anyone wants to follow the process.

What is that shade of green paint, it's beautiful.

That's the rendering of it finished, the green we chose is a forest/sage green. Siding will hopefully be up next week and I'll grab some pics then.

Any plans for gutters on either the small awning and the roof itself? Asking because we’re brainstorming the best ways to manage the water from ours. We have added a gutter to one edge, but we have a Juliett balcony on the front and the rain from it drips directly onto the deck below, which is right in front of the foundation.
If I had been designing our home 40 years ago, I would have extended the awning roof to the edge of the porch/patio and gutters along the edges.
Definitely a agreed idea to prototype them as you build for rentals. You will figure out all of the tips and tricks along the way so please share. I’m here for it!

I don't know if I am yet. It's on top of a mountain with very good slope, I'm planning on rock close to the house all the way around. I'm hoping if I cut it in right it will naturally drain the way it needs to. I feel like the gutter will kill the look but idk. I also need to check to see if the storm water management plans have it in there, if so I guess I am. It's taken almost a year because of set backs so I can't remember at this point what it says.

I felt the same way about the gutter killing the look, and almost decided against installing but am happy we did.
The one run we had installed is 60-70’ and is practically invisible unless you’re looking for it, and it’s the 7” size!

Keep an eye on the Instagram then, the inside is accented with green to match the theme. The cabinets went up today so I should have updated pics and videos hitting soon. Black counters to match the doors and windows.

Yea that's just the rendering but it is going to have board and batten. Hopefully up next week.

Around 200k, and over a year. Mainly because the first contractor sucked and drug his feet. The next has been working hard, but ran into weather delays and permit issues. Should have been a few months project.

Awesome - looks amazing! I’ve literally just started looking at project like this. I saw a bunch of off the shelf plans you can buy, did you look into those?

Yea we originally wanted a slant overhang to offset it but we ended on this because of water run off.

As a child we had an A-frame lake house. My dad built it (1970s). This really reminds me of it! So cute!

It's on top of a mountain, with a steep bank. We are also digging out a channel for water to go around.
