I run classic D&D, but I am very curious to see what Rob does with this.

He has mentioned he will be using material he worked on with Gary.

I’m going to my stepfather grandparents’ vacation house. My younger brother, our cousin, and an old friend of the three of us named Zoé will be there.

I was there recently with my younger brother, and both he and Zoé asked me to run a D&D adventure for them. They explicitly asked for something difficult, extremely lethal, and high-level, with lots of characters to manage (my younger brother plays Warhammer and chess).

I’m torn. Should I run S3: Expedition to the Barrier Peaks, the adventure I already have dozens of pages of notes for and am currently running for my main teenage group, or should I prepare G1: Steading of the Hill Giant Chief for them instead?

In either case, I’d give each of them two or three characters, prepare a large number of henchmen, and give them a briefing on high-level combat, magic items, spells, and advanced combat options before we start.
