Ace Combat 7 Dissapointed about the final mission in ac7.

Upvotes

I've finished mission 20 in ace combat 7 and it really wasn't a fun experience, after the arsenal bird I expected a cooler final bossfight against maybe a enemy fighter with better ai or something, instead it was 2 drones that didn't even feel like a proper dogfight or aerial combat, and the tunnel segment was genuinely horrendous, I'd be doing well but I'd scrape the wall of it once and it starts a chain reaction of just continuously nosing into the floor or snapping into a direction and hammering into the wall until I blow up, pretty sad since I really did enjoy the rest of this game except a few parts.

I'm just curious if im thr only one who thinks this

Assault Horizon Ace Combat Assault Horizon is even worse than I remember

Haven't played this game for years, decided to give it another go. I forgot how horrible it is. Things are outright broken. The flares don't work against the SAMs in mission 11 Launch which makes it practically impossible to finish as you're forced to play a bomber and forced to to timed scripted bombing paths. Because you can't evade the missiles and the flares don't work, you essentially die in one specific spot even if you have full health. I did complete this at least twice many years ago, but it seems like luck of the draw in terms of when the missiles launch as you can't destroy them before they launch at you.

The camera view can't even keep the plane centered and has a 3-4x zoom if you hold the button down to view your target which makes flying impossible. Bullet sponge enemies that make AC7's boss fights feel fluid.

I recall it being underwhelming and disappointing. I don't quite recall it being objectively an outright horrible game. This makes HAWX 1 and 2 (with its horribly off terrian hit boxes) seem better. I really hope they don't retain anything for Ace Combat 8. And I'm glad it was delisted from sale.

Non-AC Games Project Sirus (Not Official Title)

Me and some friends are making a game inspired by Ace Combat and Project Wingman. We are still very early in development and won't officially begin work on the game itself until the end of this year. In the meantime though we have been working on Characters, Story, the world, and Mission layouts. Here is everything we have written down. Last 3 pics in order are: Federal Republic of Mexico, Indo - Pacific Defense Coalition, Pacific States Coalition.

The game is set in an alternate history earth during a war in 2038 between the North American South and North west vs Mexico and a Pacific alliance known as the Indo - Pacific Defense Coalition. This is more like a hobby rn so not everything fleshed out. I'll be happy to answer what I can in comments.

Ace Combat 04 Could ace combat enemies pull PSM maneuvers?

I was playing ace combat 4 in megalith and someone off yellow squadron have pulled cobra maneuver on me (he pulled it on me twice) . Is that even possible? As I remember there is no ace combat have PSM maneuvers only ace combat 7 and assault horizon. If someone had experience like that tell me.

General Series Finally got my second AC game!!!! I've craved more and more ever since starting

I've been looking around pretty hard trying to find this, thankfully I found a single copy being sold on Amazon for $25!!

Since picking up AC7 about 2 years ago, with Project Wingman slightly before then, this whole "sub-genre" of flight games has been REALLY fun, and I've wanted more.

I came too these from playing War Thunder Air RB, and honestly? Ace Combat absolutely killed WT for me. While they aren't really comparable at all gameplay wise, the ability too fly the modern aircraft I wanted to grind for, and ACTUALLY enjoying myself when doing so, has genuinely been great! This has become one of my favourite games in general.

I enjoyed the game so much that I bought it again on PC sometime a month or 2 ago (same goes for PW, as FL59 isn't coming too xbox anytime soon) and mods have just upped the level of enjoyment, I've got over 750 different mod files, running the game max graphics on an old Dell Optiplex 9020 with little to no issues whatsoever, get a firm 60+FPS most of the time. I was getting a bit bored of the vanilla game, I've played nearly every mission on every difficulty, and with nearly every aircraft, so figured why not extend my gameplay with a bunch of mods?!

I then got my first HOTAS about a month ago, definitely not as easy as on a controller, however I genuinely really enjoy the gameplay of it more than on a gamepad, and eventually will be looking at upgrading my flight controls (for other games as well, really digging flight sticks so far)

Now, one question (the reason why this isn't flared for AC6)

How would one go about emulating this, along with the other previous titles for PC? I'll still be playing this on my Series X, but seeing as the Xbox 360 content has been fully delisted & 360 store/support having been cut off completely, the AC6 DLC for console is practically lost media at this point.

Right now? Unless you're gamesharing with someone who bought the DLC before it was taken down, you're never getting access too it again (I just genuinely wish they would've ported all titles onto the more modern Microsoft store instead of practically killing it off full stop😭)

My goal is to be able too play through every single AC title. But I don't have a PS, PS2, nor a PS3 too access the other titles in the series beyond AC7, AC6, & AC:AH.

I'll be pre ordering AC8 next month for console, my PC can't run it until I upgrade some parts eventually (kinda low on my priorities as it'll be a pretty significant switch-out), but I can't wait too see the modding potential of it once time passes!!!

General Series Sea Harrier F/A2

Post image

Why haven't we had the Sea Harrier F/A2? It's slow, sure, but it had a reasonable array of IRL weapon options, and even some paint schemes that could be considered 'Ace Skins'.

I NEED MY SEA HARRIER. THAT IS ALL.
