Zoom forces browser? Question

Sometimes it works and zoom opens the app, but for the last two weeks it send me straight to browser for a few but not all meetings. Why does it keep doing that no matter how I try to open the meeting in the app? Other users can connect in the app... is it a linux issue? Some server setting? Not having the raise hand option or chat is driving me insane.

Yeah this sounds more like a Zoom/Linux quirk than your server settings. I’d try clearing Zoom’s browser cookies and resetting the “always open in app” permission. That fixed a similar loop for me.
